Name: Zythrgla
Physical Characteristics: The Zythrgla are a mechanical race. Standard Zythrglai are composed of modular blocks, which can be compared to individual supercomputers, that come together to perform several tasks. They have very high interconnectivity, and are able to communicate via subspace to other Zythrglai who may be light years away. Every block contains two million isolated kiron pathways, that control the molecular cohesion of all Zythrgla. These blocks can self-assemble into various larger forms, usually into insectile shapes, by creating a magnetic field to pull the blocks together. The only way to truly kill a single Zythrglai is to destroy all of its individual blocks.
Social Structure: The Zythrgla have no emotions. Instead, they are driven solely by their programming, which is to create more of themselves. They have a hive mind set up between all the Zythrglai in the universe. Every single block has its own "mind," but they all work together coordinating their movements to further their programming.
Culture: The Zythrgla are highly intelligent, absorbing the information and technology found from other race's technologies. They are also able to assimilate massive amounts of information at a time. This means that they have developed much faster technologically than any other race, combining scavenged technology from various races and adding their own knowledge to it. They are capable of space-flight, and have spread out onto numerous planets so far.
Replication: The blocks themselves are composed of whatever materials were available at the time of construction. Most Zythrgla are made of advanced alloys absorbed from ships of other races, with whom the Zythrgla wage war to continue further their programming. It takes multiple blocks to create more blocks, although a single Zythrglai is capable of self-replication.
History: No one knows who created the first Zythrglai. Whoever it was is almost certainly dead, as the Zythrglai would have inhabited the planet on which it was first created.
