Well, when my nose got broken.... I played with it....... which was a bad idea. Not because of lasting damage but because I learned the capillaries or whatever that cause black eyes are right there.

So, some guy sucker punched me..... I end up with a broken nose and because I played with it afterwards (Bending it flat both sides over and over and over again) I end up with two black eyes and a broken nose..... so.... I looked much worse than what he actually did.

I pounded his face up good for sucker punching me, but that made the fight look a lot closer than it was.

Ive had three skull fractures, a cracked mandible (broken jaw), broken arm (twice), four broken fingers, broken metacarpals in each hand, broken femur, broken little toe, three broken ribs, a broken collarbone, chipped patella, a cracked shoulder blade, and the iliac fossa on the right side of my pelvis was damaged by a bullet.

Most of that was between two serious car accidents and fights I was in when I was a teenager. The damage to my pelvis and to my patella happened later as a result of two attempts to rob me.

Oh, and when I said I had never had surgery in one of these threads, that is technically true. The bullet went in, bounced off my pelvic bone, and exited. All they could really do is sew me up.
