The Yin-Yang.
The basic thinking is this:
Excerpts taken from http://www.wsu.edu/~dee/CHPHIL/YINYANG.HTM
The world consisted of two realms: the realm of principle (li ) (which we might call "laws") and the realm of material force (ch'i ). Principle governs material force and material force makes manifest principle; the ultimate origin of principle is in a single principle, called the Great Ultimate (tao ch'i ), which emanates from Heaven.
The essentials of the yin-yang school are as follows: the universe is run by a single principle, the Tao, or Great Ultimate. This principle is divided into two opposite principles, or two principles which oppose one another in their actions, yin and yang. All the opposites one perceives in the universe can be reduced to one of the opposite forces.
The yin and yang represent all the opposite principles one finds in the universe. Under yang are the principles of maleness, the sun, creation, heat, light, Heaven, dominance, and so on, and under yin are the principles of femaleness, the moon, completion, cold, darkness, material forms, submission, and so on. Each of these opposites produce the other: Heaven creates the ideas of things under yang, the earth produces their material forms under yin, and vice versa; creation occurs under the principle of yang, the completion of the created thing occurs under yin, and vice versa, and so on.
This cyclical nature of yin and yang, the opposing forces of change in the universe, mean several things. First, that all phenomena change into their opposites in an eternal cycle of reversal. Second, since the one principle produces the other, all phenomena have within them the seeds of their opposite state, that is, sickness has the seeds of health, health contains the seeds of sickness, wealth contains the seeds of poverty, etc. Third, even though an opposite may not be seen to be present, since one principle produces the other, no phenomenon is completely devoid of its opposite state. One is never really healthy since health contains the principle of its opposite, sickness. This is called "presence in absence".

One interesting thing here is that the male will also contain the seed of the female, and the female will contain the seed of the male.
This philosophy is describing the Alpha-Omega, God Almighty, the Trinity.
All at once, since all are One.
Lets go through the points.
The yang is male, as is the Father.
The yin is female, as is the Holy Spirit.
And the principle li is the material manifestation, as is the Son.
The two forces of yang and yin are the two male-female poles first created with the containment of God, or Great Ultimate (tao ch'i ), with the equation of Phi, square root five plus one, divided by two.
The male Father and female Holy Spirit are represented by the two halves of the yin-yang and by square root five in the equation of Phi.
As the one in the equation is representing the Son, or Offspring of God, it too is square root five plus one, divided by two.
And this Offspring is represented in the yin-yang as the two circles.
Light, separated from darkness. By the Light that is all Light and Darkness.
The Beginning and First. Alpha.
Material force (ch'i ) is the square root five component of the equation of Phi.
Principle (li ) is the one component of the equation of Phi.
The divided by two component of the equation of Phi allows for the male and female to co-exist or bi-exist. Co-exist as in Adam when first formed as male and female. And bi-exist as Adam when split into Adam and Eve. Or in the case of forces, bi-exist as in electricity and magnetism, and co-exist as in electromagnetism.
So in the beginning when God created heaven and earth, the male yang Father was heaven and the female yin Holy Spirit was earth.
The Great Ultimate (tao ch'i ) divided by two, into two opposing forces; the yin and yang, each carrying within itself the seed of the other.
Heaven creates the ideas of things under yang, the earth produces their material forms under yin, and vice versa; creation occurs under the principle of yang, the completion of the created thing occurs under yin.
So the Great Ultimate (tao ch'i ), creates the ideas of things under the yang Father, and the earth produces their material forms under the yin Holy Spirit.
The Spirit of God moving over the face of the waters.
The principle (li ) is the law of the material. And this law is Pi. All material force (ch'i ) is contained within a circle within; the circles in the yin-yang and the one in the equation of Phi, square root five plus one, divided by two.
So the creation, which is the Son of God, or the one in the equation of Phi, is the principle li.
The creation begins with the Spirit of God, Alpha. Alpha enters the material world through li, or the Son of God. The culmination of li is the Spirit of God, Omega.
Omega - Light, in which there is no darkness.
The Last and End.
Alpha-Omega; consisting of the yang Father, the yin Holy Spirit, and the li Son.
Phi defines Life; Pi defines the material for the Life.
The concept of Yin-Yang is associated with the idea of the five agents, or elements metal, wood, water, fire and earth.
And again here there are direct correlations with the Alpha-Omega, the Trinity, and Man.
Fire The Father
Water The Holy Spirit
Earth The Son
Metal the male of Man
Wood the female of Man
The Fire gives rise to Water.
Fire and Water give rise to Earth.
Fire, Water, and Earth give rise to Metal and Wood.
Metal and wood are a part of the earth, and proceed from the earth. Just as Man is a part of the Son of God, Jesus, and we proceed from Jesus. And the earth creates everything on the earth, just as Jesus creates everything in the creation.
The metal and wood are one with the earth, and the earth just would not be the same with no wood or metal. Just as Man is one with Jesus, and Jesus just would not be the same without Man, His Wife.
Those Chinese are pretty smart, eh? Or maybe God explained it that way to someone.
John 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
