I just finished working through The Wounded Heart recovery book for victims is childhood sexual abuse by Dr. Allendar again. I feel so blessed by it every time I go through. It has been such a cornerstone to allowing God to restore my life and I just wanted to share my victory from it with someone. I would recommend it to anyone who has this experience.

Thank you for posting this. I translated a portion of this book for my friend (into Spanish) and she really appreciated it. She said, "you mean I am not crazy?" I think the book was able to show her why she does the things she does. The problem is that I was only able to translate a brief portion for her while she was visiting me. I had bought the book for myself to try to understand her because I suspected she had been sexually abused as a child. It turned out I was right, and I was the first person she ever told. I searched and searched and eventually found the book in Spanish. I bought it for her, but she did not want me to send it. She said she was not "ready" yet. I would like to request that anyone who reads this PLEASE devote 60 seconds to pray that my friend (I don't think God needs a name) would open her heart to God's healing. I feel like she is always surrounded by people telling her how awful she is and what she cannot achieve. It's no wonder she never told anyone else about her abuse. I love her, and it is killing me to know she is suffering so much.
