The worst week ever

Hi I have just had the worst week ever. My dad had cancer and was placed into a private centre to be looked after until we could arrange a bed at a private hospital (we just couldn't look after him at home anymore, as the family were no longer able to lift him). He had 2 falls there (this should never had happened) and the second one broke his hip. So then he had to undergo a hip operation, he only had a 20% chance of making it through the surgery. The first words he said was "I made it".
This last week he has deteriotrated, he didn't know who we were, until on Friday morning he passed away.
Please could you pray for my family the funeral is on Monday at 2pm. I am struggling with his death as well as the broken hip issue (which should never had happened). There has just been so much to cope with in the past few months and I am struggling so much with it all.

I am so, so, sorry, Sue. I don't have words to explain how I feel for you. I am not a doctor, but I think cancer can weaken the bones so that even small falls can end up having devastating results. I am so sorry.

May the Lord be with you, and give you the strength to get through the next few days.

hi Sue, i'm sorry for what you are going through, I just went through pretty much the exact same thing with my dad and it was so unexpected, the cancer came on within a month or 2. All I can say is that God's love prevails! and you and the family will get better day by day and know that the past is over and God has everything in His hands now. The rough bit is over...it's just the healing process now.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. i pray that your dad knew Christ and that he is with him now. Don't beat your self up over your dads falls, I sure your family did the best you could for him in his last days on earth. I will pray that you and your family will feel peace after this loss.
