Everyone has their favorites, but which songs do you find truly awful?
This is my list:
Alive Alive
Amazing Grace
Annointing Fall of Me
Beulah Land
Blessing and Honor
Celebrate Jesus Celebrate
Come Holy Spirit
Enemy's Camp
I Stand in Awe
I'll Fly Away
Look What the Lord Has Done
Nothing But the Blood
Our God Reigns
Power in the Blood
Stomp on the Devil's Head
We Bring the Sacrifice of Praise
What a Mighty God We Serve
If I thought about it, I'm sure it could be a much longer list. The melodies, the repetition, the poor theology, etcetera make these songs a truly horrific part of my childhood and early adulthood. I mean- I seriously can't stand these songs. I don't find them reverent or uplifting at all. In fact, they give me a kind of PTSD.
