The Winters Over

Song of Solomon 2:10-12. “ My Beloved spoke to me and said Rise up my fair one and come away; the WINTER is past, the RAIN is over; the FLOWERS appear, the time of SINGING has come”

God is faithful and He promised that the season would always follow each other; Winter, Spring, Summer, Autumn.

I firmly believe that we have Spiritual seasons:

Winter~ Sorrow, trials, sadness and darkness. The things we long for, weep for, yearn and long for seem far away. Darkness clouds our way and weeping, depression, heart ache and trials surround us.

Spring~ A time of hope and preparation for the blessings. Things seem to be getting nearer to what we want to see happening. God is nearer to us and more precious and we sense an imminent answer.

Summer~ The longed for blessing finally happens and we rejoice with great rejoicing and so to our friends with us.

Autumn~ The blessing we longed for matures and we grow in grace and knowledge and embrace fresh challenges for other things.

Friends, there are some of you who know you are in the winter, you hurt and sigh, but REJOICE your spring will soon arrive.

Some of you have been in the winter for many years and now you in the spring season, REJOICE your summer will soon arrive.

Some of you are in the summer, you have your hearts desires. REJOICE in God and serve greater for all that He has done for you.

I my self after many years I feel am in the Spring waiting for the summer to finally come.

What you say is very true, John. I feel exactly the same - That there are different seasons in our Christian walk. I am currently experiencing a winter, but spring will come sometime soon
