And might I add IMO that this is a constant cycle over history and what we are seeing now is nothing compared to the 20th century with it's two world wars, a greater pandemic, a decade of drought, famine and poverty and of course three major wars with Israel plus disco. So perhaps the focus should be on the coming plans to create a new human hybrid of flesh and tech, these elites making a new human in their own controllable image. This is the kind of thing to rile God more than acting as man has always done.

Hmmm. Then why did Jesus give us prophecies concerning the time of His second coming from His own mouth and in the books of Daniel and Revelation?

I understand that and agree with you. But, Jesus also said:

Matthew 16: 1 THE Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven.
2 He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.
3 And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?
4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.

Matthew 24: 43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

We were given the prophecies of the end times so we could recognize them and prepare for the second coming. If Jesus thought it was important enough for us to know the signs of the end times who are we to dismiss their importance?

His job was to prepare the way and His job will be to bring it to fruition while our job is to live each day as if it were already here and to tell others to switch sides in God's war and why, not only set the example but to show we are worthy of citizenship. Not all saying Lord Lord will accept it or cohabitate. Too many people think they have simply found a way out of not having to die the first death while still in the flesh, hoping the time comes during their life.

As a side note, every messiah died and every messiah spoke of an end of age, none of which have globally come to fruition but definitely did for Judaea. And yes, people did run off to Jordan at the fall of Jerusalem to protect themselves as Jesus and others before Him had done in times of personal crisis. The Jerusalem church survived. The importance, if any, is that the Kingdom will happen. The importance is that God will take away authority of man over fellow man as we have now, and take it upon Himself.

Nothing there about reward unless we seek to reward ourselves by continuing to make everything about ourselves. The reward will be His Kingdom over mankind. It's always been about Him over adversarial powers and attitudes. We are but repentant adversaries who have chosen His side in His war that started long before us. Our reward will be a change in the system. no longer a world made in our own image. Live each day as if it is our last yes, because that may be the only last chance we may have to follow His will.

I have no problem with what you say about reward but you are very limited in your understanding of scripture. Jesus meant those words for His followers down to the end of time. That's why He gave us the prophecies He personally gave us and the ones He gave us through Daniel and John.
