i am getting so much awesome stuff from the book of mark today, and i know these words are what God is telling me, FOR ME becuase I NEED to change, and not you, but i just have to say this becuase its amasing.
my God... get this, this is gonna bless you and change how you see your leaders and how you act around them, and if your a leader it will change how you see your people.
well, ill use the verses from matthew because it shows it much better.
matthew 3.13-17
then cometh Jesus from Galilee to jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and thou comest to me? And Jesus answering said unto him, suffer it be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfill all righteouseness. then he suffered him.
and Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straitway out of the water: and lo, the heavons were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him: and lo a voice came from heavon, saying, this is my beloved Son, in whom i am well pleased.
we see Jesus in submission, becuase he in all his glory, in all his power, the very God of heavon and earth and all there is places himself in a state of allowing a lowly man, just a seed of adam to baptise him and begin his ministry. great and glorious Jesus placed his great ministry in the hands of a lowly servant, that was submission and humility! wow, becuase today, we like to act like were all that, we like to think were the lone ranger for God, we like to think that becuase we are pastors and prophets and that we are above needing the help of people who dont know what we know, dont know God like we know God, etc, and we dont need them.
but pastors need sunday school teachers and staff and helpers, who arent as great as they are, dont know God like they do, but the pastor still places his ministry in their hands and depends on them.
and John, was in submission too.
he didnt want to baptise Jesus, he didnt want to go without being baptised himself, but Jesus said "ill baptise you later, but now, for the good of the ministry baptise me" john the baptist had to submit to working for Jesus who did not put john feelings and desires and thoughts first.
john had to submit to his leader even when he didnt agree and understand.
but he followed his leader, allowed his own blessing and desires to be postponed, and worked for the good of the ministry and submitted even when he didnt understand or fully agree, he had to SUFFER IT...
and then... then we see the glory fall, God shows up and blesses the work of their hands and the ministry they were in. a voice comes from heavon, the spirit falls, God says hes pleased and the ministry is jump started and begins to run. the glory of God falls.
but it came from 2 people in submission, having their own feelings and desires and thoughts in subjection, for the greater good, and unto the will of God.
Jesus the leader had to submit....
and john the servant had to submit...
some pastors arent in submission and dont rely on their sunday school teachers and bless them they way they need to so their ministry will be enlarged even when he isnt the soul person working in the scene receing praise, even when that sunday school teacher probly isnt as great a preacher and man of God.
and some church members and sunday school teachers are openly or secretly not in submission to their pastors vision and ways. they need to submit to their pastors and get up under the vision and follow and support their pastor's and leaders. they dont think they are servants, yet fellow workers. but they are servants to the leader, and supporting the leader.
and it creates resistance.... and the ministry is never blessed and never becomes what it needs to be, becomes no one is in submission!

amos 3.3
can two walk together, except they be agreed?
when theirs no agreement within the ministry, the ministry fails.
some ministries are failing and fustrated...becuase their no agreement between the pastor and the staff, members, teachers, etc.
but i tell you today, submit to your pastors and your leaders and follow and support their visions even when you dont agree or understand.
and if your a pastor or leader, submit to depending on and blessing people that are under you so your ministry can be enlarged, even when you dont receive all the glory, their are no lone rangers for God! you will fail by yourself if you cant need other people.
all people need a prophet and preacher in their lives over them.
and all prophets and preachers need people under them that they depend on and bless and send forth, becuase they cant doit alone, no matter how great they are.
wow... man im going to get under the vision of my leaders like never before and support them through it all, even when i dont get it.
