  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Does this group support Catholic values? I cannot support a group that endorses condoms or other birth control methods. I only support groups that endorse abstinence as a prevention method for AIDs.

Ah yes the big issue with AIDS... sadly the government isnt trying hard enough to try and stop the spread of aids and cure for it. Apparently its not that deadly of a disease that it casts that much of a crisis to the eyes of the goverment. I mean sure if people started to drop dead in seconds then the governemt would actually try and do something!!!!! The only way to really try and help the stop of AIDS is through Abstinance. Not even birth control will do anything.

True. However governments have fallen prey to the idea that the way to stop AIDS is to throw condoms at it. As long as they continue to believe that, nothing but the continued spread will happen (and yet the abstinance will be blamed--go figure.)
