Looking forward to it for sure. My fav is still young couple Glen and Maggie. I do also like Daryl. I don't care for the blond Andrea. She was great at the beginning. But now she seems like a thoughtless killer that doesn't care about anything. Obviously I don't like the enemies either lol. Oddly enough I don't like or dislike the zombies, after all they used to be people. Not that you should see them as that or else you couldn't kill one if need be.

Not sure who I want to see zombified. Maybe Andrea.

Andrea died at the end of the last season. The Governor had her tied up, and he stabbed one of his men who died in the room with her. He gave her a scapel to cut herself free but he turned and bit her.

She either shot herself or Michonne shot her before she turned.

I liked Merle. He sure went out with a bang! I think my favorite is Carl. He's still a kid, but he's changing all the time and growing as a character. He carries a gun and fights but still has to sit at the kid's table at Thanksgiving...and that burns him up.
I liked Shane too. He was always right on the edge and you never quite knew what he was gonna do next. And he was still basically a good man, just really screwed up in the head.
Michone, aside from being the best pure warrior on the show, is shaping up nicely as a person. I like how you had to get to know her over time. Not like Rick where you basically know him from the beginning.

Favorite character, wow, that's hard...but I guess I'd go with Rick...

I love how you've seen him transform...from a 'by the books' type guy, cleancut...and now this rugged, whoop butt guy that gets the job done...

We too have all the seasons on DVD so far...lovin' it!

Last night's episode, NICE...love seeing all the new people...gettin' there own little community in the Prison...

This show is bloody terrible, but I can't stop watching it because I'm fascinated with the apocalypse genre and I'm holding out that it might actually get good someday.

I say the show is terrible because of the continuous stupidity in which the characters engage themselves. It also disturbs me that ethical decision making seems to be lost by pretty much all the characters. Take Season 2 (I think) for example, when they rescued that kid who belonged to the other group who had impaled himself on the fence post: instead of integrating him into the group (after all, they just saved his life which would have undoubtedly bought them some loyalty) they decided to keep him hostage in the barn and torture him for "information." Stupid and reckless. They basically set it up so that they COULDN'T integrate him because of how bad they treated him.

I'm probably a little hard on the show because I'm a military professional and the tactical decisions they make make me squirm in my seat. But seriously, have they no military advisors on the production staff?

Who is your favourite character and why?

I suppose my favorite character NOW is Daryl, although I would have shot him dead in Season 2 when he walked back onto the farm wearing a necklace made of Zombie ears. If your moral compass is so skewed that wearing human remains as trophies is acceptable, you're a danger to civilization and can't be trusted. With that said, Daryl seems to have changed for the better in subsequent seasons. I supposed you can get away with that on TV but that's not happening in real life.

who is your least favourite?

Rick. He's a really bad leader. He's impulsive, emotional, and he makes really stupid decisions.

Example: last night's episode - they just lost the prison and the entire group was split up because they didn't have a link up plan in case they were pushed off the prison (primary and alternate rendezvous plan, anyone?) and he STILL thinks it's a good idea to split up and allow Carl and Michonne to go shopping for groceries AND letting Carl take his pistol with him. THEN Carl leaves the door open (more stupidity) and the house is invaded by bandits. No defense. No link up plan. Another potential catestrophic outcome due to a failure in leadership. Pathetic.

Who do you want to see zombified this season?

Please bite Rick and get him off the show. Bring in a stable, disciplined leader and TAKE BACK THE PRISON. So there's a few zombies in there. It's not like they're hard to kill. The only better place than a prison with a fence around it is a prison with walls around it. Retake the prison, repair the fence, then recon for a prison with walls and move to that in the future if you can't keep the fence intact.

I love this show and my favorite has to be Daryl.

Nice twists this season with Carol and Tyreese meeting up :sorry:

Sanctuary and Sgt Abraham Ford. Oh yay!
The Sgt. looks a bit out of place with the Fu Manchu mustache. But I'm excited to see how the new plotline pans out. Should be good.

I do too. I've read the comics up til issues 90+ something. Don't worry mum's the word.

This series is the best thing that has happened to the zombie genre since the original Dawn of the Dead which sparked off the visions of a zombie apocalypse and survival horror.

Plenty of plot-twists and character development.

It's really a great show. Even with the flaws, what's left is awesome.

For those of us that were big fans of his portrayal of Bull Randleman in Band of Brothers, it's even more out of place.

The latest episode "The Grove" was very difficult for me to watch. By far the most disturbing episode yet.

It's going to take me a few days to emotionally recover from that one. Yes I'm pretty darned sensitive when it comes to certain things.

Easy decision, only I wouldn't have taken so long to arrive at it. I would have shot her where she stood before she even had a chance to threaten me with a gun.

She essentially murderered her own sister and admitted to her intent to do it to the baby as well. She was clearly mentally ill and would probably be institutionalized under normal conditions. But since they don't have the means to deal with that sort of thing in the midst of the zombie apocalypse, she had to be "put down." It's one of the few things they've actually got right on that show.

SPOILER ALERT:

There is nothing good about shooting a crying child in the back of the head. It may be necessary in a world without psych meds but Lizzie was not evil. She genuinely believed that her sister would rise up immortal. That is why Carol was devastated when she took her out to the field. The doe eyes and tears were real, not the manipulative plan of a true psycho. It didn't need to happen if the Samuel family had her committed before the apocalypse.

Now Carol has to live with the most unnatural act imaginable and will forever believe that both deaths are partly her fault....which is kinda true in a sense. She is currently the toughest character on the show but I really doubt that she can handle another instance of this. Not without choosing to abandon love and hope forever.

I didn't say it was good. I'm just saying the writers got it right in writing in the decision to kill her - unlike the countless other stupid and morally skewed decisions the group has made that viewers seem to be okay with. The "if only" arguments are irrelevant. The bottom line is that allowing her to continue to live among people would only expose them to mortal danger. She would never be able to be trusted again. Excommunicating her from the group would have been ethically irresponsible because then she'll just get picked up by another group who wouldn't have any idea of the time bomb they're bringing in. Whether she had evil intent is irrelevant. Her cognitive ability to make sound decisions was completely broken.

As far as Carol having to live with it, she did something unquestionably and absolutely necessary. That should ease her discomfort with it.

As far as Carol being the toughest character on the show, that's debatable, but even if she is, the writers have made her morally skewed as well. If she has any true regrets, it ought to be for prematurely ending the life of the two people she murdered in the prison.

Killing terminally sick people who could have easily been quarantined = murder.
Killing a murderous psychopath who cannot be quarantined = not murder.
