  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

The scene is an older man in his fifties, severely disabled and bed bound, he spends each day the same as the one before, laying there in his bed thinking and listening to old comedy shows on the radio, but one day all that changes and he finds he's not as alone as he thought he was......

voice - "what are you doing?"

Man - "waiting"

Voice - "what are you waiiting for?"

Man - "I'm not sure"

Voice - " Surely there are better things to do than wait ?, especially when you don't know what your waiting for."

Man - "I guess waiting has become such a habit its become a matter of routine"

Voice - "Don't you have a life? there must be more for you than this?"

Man - "I used to, but not any more, its more of an existence now, you know?"

Voice - "Yes, I know"

Man - "How do you know?"

Voice - "I know lots of things, more than you could ever imagine"

Man - "But how do you know? I don't remember you being here before?"

Voice - "You just have to trust me, I know. So what are you really waiting for? I know thats not the whole answer"

Man - "I wait for lots of things, but in the end I guess the same as others like me I wait for the end"

Voice - "You're waiting for god?"

Man - "I guess you could say that, in fact its a good way of putting it"

Voice - "How do you know he hasn't been already?"

Man - "I can't recollect seeing him and I'm still here aren't I?"

Voice - "Yes thats true, but you know he doesn't always show up in a blinding flash of light on the road to Damascus"

Man - "Yes, I realise that, but the fact remains I'm still here."

Voice - "Maybe you still have things to do here, maybe its not time yet"

Man - "you seem to know a lot about these things"

Voice - "I guess you could say that, like I said I know a lot of things"

Man - "Do you know what happens?"

Voice - "what do you mean happens?"

Man - "When the waitings over"

Voice - "Oh you mean at the end?

Man - "Yes, at the end"

Voice - "One day you just stop, just as the ticking clock eventually stops, more time passes between each tick and tock until eventually it stops forever."

Man - "That scares me, I mean there is so much more I want to experience, so much more I want to know"

Voice - " That's normal, you need not worry its the natural way of things, but I can tell you this, that in that moment between your last tick and the final tock you will know everything, you will understand everything, all will become clear and as it does your fear will pass. In that final fragment of time you will feel peace."

Man - "Why cant we know now? it would solve so many problems with this world."

Voice - "If you knew everything there would be nothing to learn, nothing to search for, nothing to strive for.Life would lose its value and meaning wouldn't it?"

Man - "I guess so, life wouldn't be as interesting thats for sure"

Voice - "Will you stop waiting now?"

Man - "I don't know, its hard to break this habit"

Voice - "But its not your time yet"

Man - "How do you know that? who are you?

Voice - "I told you, I know more than you could ever imagine"

Man - "Who are you?"

Voice - "I've always been here"

Man - "Then why haven't I heard you before?"

Voice - "Maybe today was the day you needed to hear me"

Man - "you're not going to tell me who you are, are you?"

Voice - (voice receding) "You know in your heart who I am, You've always known"

Man - *silence*
