CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Wow.....I could vent about so many things today that I could be banned from this thread! lol

This complaint is about job#2-radio station:
I got 3 hours of sleep cuz I simply could NOT sleep last night.....
I come in to find a text message from my sister on my cell phone...had to return the call....that put me behind.
When I finally get started on my work....I notice the computer running slow....VERY SLOW....
I *think* I have accomplished my task....only to find that the recorded items that are SUPPOSED to air on one of our FM stations didn't 'transfer' to the designated site. In other words....something that I recorded for this morning did not air....instead, something that I recorded LAST SATURDAY aired instead....how this happens I have NO idea??!?!?! You record OVER a file and it SHOULD be the new recording.....
We have 2 cd players in the studio I am working from.....one of them decides to quit so I'm stuck having to keep music going with only 1 cd player!!!! GOOD GRIEF!!! I'm not a magician!!!
but wait....there's more!!! The aforementioned problem with the computer files was apparently known to everyone but ME!!! Okay....I'm only here on the weekends but how hard is it to send an email or leave a post it note in my mailbox????
Let's see.....the women's restroom is nearly out of toilet paper. I wouldn't be surprised if the cheap-o's who own/run the place decide that we need to start bringing our own!
I'm sure there's more but my fingers are tired! haha
Sad to say.....I have used language this morning that would make a Rap Singer blush....I'm sure God's not too happy with me today either.

I do so love how 5 minutes after I drop off the kids, they or (worse) their mother call me to tell me what they left at my house and MUST ABSOLUTELY HAVE OR THEY WILL DIE!!.

LOL One would hope! I talked to another boss later that day and she told me how to *possibly* get around the computer network issue for the time being.
Part of the problem is that the radio station is up for sale. A company on the east coast has bought it but the sale isn't complete. They aren't responsible for spending any money yet and the soon-to-be-former owner considers the sale pretty much complete so he has wiped his hands of spending any more money on equipment and such. (not that he ever spent much anyway....he was too busy getting rich off of swindling people to worry about the welfare of his employees....and he considers himself a devote Christian!
) Anyhooo...the boss I talked to later in the day said the sale *should* be complete by the end of the month. Hopefully then the new owners won't be slumlords and actually help the station get updated/working equipment. I'm only a 'part timer' so it shouldn't really bother me but I'm one of these rare people that likes to do a good job no matter where I'm working and whether or not I like the job (or whether or not it even PAYS me to like it!). I even used to get upset if something didn't go right when I did office cleaning as a part-time job.

I feel so bad. I was so irritated by a slow co-worker today that I let it show in my voice. I should have had compassion and understanding, but instead I just acted more and more put upon. I was so annoyed by her inefficiency.

My ex lives in another country. He's been gone probably 4 years and hasn't paid a dime of child support for close to 5 years. I only asked for $100 a month. My kids tried to call him for Father's day (hah!) and I left a message on what I thought was his cell when I got home from work telling him his kids were trying to get a hold of him.
His brother called today wanting to talk to my son and said he'd talked to my ex. I asked him if everything was ok and he said yes. I asked if he had a new phone number and he said he had two numbers, but my ex told him to only give them to my son. What? So if something happens to the kids I'm not supposed to call him? We haven't even raised our voices to each other in years and I never call except for holidays so the kids can talk to him. I try not to talk to him since he makes me sick or just makes me feel sorry for him.
The only thing that makes sense is that he probably now has some money and is starting to get paranoid about keeping it all to himself and his underage mistress. I don't think I've even asked for any money from him since the divorce since I knew it would probably be pointless.

That is frustrating, EBL. Would your ex's brother be willing to give you the number in case of emergency, at least? None of this sounds good, but I guess your ex is your ex and not your dh for a reason. I can understand your frustration.

Yes, he is an ex for a reason, lots of reasons. I hate that he's putting his brother and our son in the middle when there is no reason for it.

Grrr! I finally was able to get a date with the girl that I was kind of seeing, but had to be discreet and just friends til my D was final - we went a month and half without seeing each other supposedly because of things going on in her life.
It was a great date, ended with a nice good nite kiss, and things seemed to be looking up. I tell a friend about it tonite, and she thinks the girl is sleeping with someone else. I get all freaked out about it (because that's what I do) and go look at her myspace page, to find a pic of her with some other guy as her main pic.)
Grrrr.

My heart sinks when people don't think of others.
I just came from a CHURCH meeting and at the end of the meeting, people started talking about their plans for tonight. Well, those plans included most people in the room -- but not everyone had been invited. The fact that they talked about events in front of those who were not invited to really irked me. So rude and cliquish.

Wow! No one has had to vent since July???? lol Okay....maybe you have but not here or (gulp!) you've bottled it up. Just thought I'd bump this one up.
I really need to vent about something but I'm liable to offend someone here. I just need to say that there is a certain group of people in the town where I live who call themselves "Christian" but they are to most RUDE, selfish, evil people I know. They use "God" to 'get what they want', they use God as a 'guilt trip' with people to manipulate the situation to benefit themselves without any thought to the consequences to the other party. This 'group' of people in my opinion gives Christians overall a bad name and make me see WHY there are so many people who have a bad attitude towards Christians/church, etc.....

Eh...I probably have more things to vent about.
I HATE basketball. I just don't get what's so exciting about it. I'd rather watch my cats chase their catnip toys all over the house....pretty much the same concept.

I'm not a big fan of those kind of people either. It seems that Christianity is just a tool to them, and if it wasn't for God, they'd have some other unquestionable authority to appeal to - "think of the chiiiiiiillllllldddddrrrrreennnnnnnnn!" or somesuch.
