  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

If you're a Christian & you fear you've committed the unforgivable sin, you haven't & you CAN'T!

The unpardonable sin is not what most people think.

All Humanity: Guilty of Sin, Offered a Gift

Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
(NOTE: Scripture declares all to be sinners.)

Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
NOTE: The wage our sins have earned = death. The gift God gives = eternal life through believing in Christ’s sin‑atoning death & resurrection.)

John 12:32 Jesus said; if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw "all" men unto me.
(NOTE: Jesus was lifted up on the cross & from the grave & He draws all.)

Matt 12:31 Jesus said; All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
(NOTE: The Spirit draws all to Christ. The only sin that remains unforgiven is the lifelong rejection of that witness - refusing to believe in Christ's atoning death & resurrection.)

The Spirit Convicts the World of One Sin

John 16:
7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
(NOTE: The Comforter = God's forever [Jn 14:16] gift of the indwelling Holy Spirit.)

8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
(NOTE: The Holy Spirit will reprove, expose & convict everyone of, sins? NO of "SIN" singular.)

9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;
NOTE: We all have a choice, except & believe or reject & deny, Christ's sin atonement & resurrection until life's end. UNBELIEF is the only sin we need to repent from!)

Jesus' Warning: Die in Unbelief, Die in Your Sins

John 8:24 Jesus said; ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
NOTE: Lifelong unbelief leaves a person in their sins with no pardon.)

The Only Unpardonable Sin

The only unforgivable sin is dying in UNBELIEF — rejecting Christ's sin‑atoning sacrifice & resurrection until life’s end

John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
(NOTE: Believers are not condemned. Unbelievers remain condemned because they refuse to commit to the Son's sovereign rule.)

"UNBELIEF" at life's end is the only UNFORGIVEABLE sin.

A Full Pardon Awaits Anyone Who Believes

Accept God's grace (Rom 5:1-2) - His undeserved favor - by believing in: Christ's faithful, obedient, sin‑atoning death (Rom 6:23). His burial (proof He truly died) & His resurrection (the Father's receipt that the payment was accepted)

Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
(NOTE: Jesus is that grace.)

Romans 10:
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
(NOTE: Confess Jesus as Lord, Believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead & you shall be saved. (Acts 2:21 & Rom 10:13)

HERES WHAT HAPPENS THE MOMENT YOU ACCEPT CHRIST:

Eph 1:
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed "ye were sealed with that holy Spirit'' of promise
(NOTE: You HEARD & BELIEVED about Jesus sin atoning payment & resurrection. Then Jesus baptizes/immerses you with/by/in His Holy Spirit (Matt 3:11, Mk 1:8, Lk 3:16) & you're FOREVER (Jn 14:16) sealed/protected (Jn 10:28) until the final day of redemption (Eph 4:30). Where you receive an incorruptible body, clothed with immortality.)

14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
(NOTE: Earnest = a promise, down payment, Christ' Holy Spirit is the guarantee of your future inheritance.)

2 Cor 1:22 Who hath also "sealed us" & "given the earnest" of the Holy Spirit in our hearts
(NOTE :God has sealed us & given His Holy Spirit as the earnest in our hearts.)

2 Cor 5:5 God, who also hath given unto us the "earnest" of the Spirit
(NOTE: Every believer receives the Spirit as God’s pledge.)

Tim 1:14 (A) The Holy Spirit who dwells within us
(NOTE: Christ' Holy Spirit dwells inside every believer.)

Eph 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
(NOTE: The H/S seal lasts until the resurrection of the body - 1 Cor 15:53.)

Summary: What Is the Unforgivable Sin?
Not murder - Not adultery - Not blasphemous thoughts - Not backsliding - Not failure - Not weakness.

The only unforgivable sin is dying in UNBELIEF & rejecting Christ as Lord until the end.

Anyone who believes in Christ's death, burial & resurrection is forgiven, sealed, secured & eternally His. Amen

Jesus took away all sin. There is no verse that states Jesus took away the sin of the world, except the sin of unbelief.

Plus the unforgivable sin found in Matthew 12 was a very specific sin. That could not be committed by individuals, but only by the nation of Israel.

Jesus didn't say the Pharisees committed a special national sin that no individual can commit. Their accusation revealed the deeper issue: they were rejecting the Holy Spirit's testimony about Him. The apostles explain this plainly: the Holy Spirit convicts the WORLD of SIN — ἁμαρτίας (hamartias, singular, not plural) - ""because they believe not on Me"" (Jn 16:7–9). Jesus Himself says the only people who ""die in their sins"" are those who ""believe not"" (Jn 8:24). So the unforgivable sin isn’t a one‑time statement made by Israel; it's the lifelong rejection of the Holy Spirit's witness about Christ. Jesus took away all sin at the cross (Jn 1:29), but unbelief leaves a person outside that forgiveness. The only sin that remains unforgiven is the one a person refuses to let Him remove.

Jesus takes away the sin of believers and unbelievers, the slate has been wiped clean. An unbeliever remains a sinner, but all of the sins they will commit are forgiven. Just as all sin a believer will commit has been forgiven.

We believe in Christs death that atones Sin.

John 12:32 Jesus said; if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw "all" men unto me.
(NOTE: Jesus was lifted up on the cross & from the grave & He draws all.)

Not all men were willing, and our Will is
Free, its a gift from God.
God will not force anyone, though He may draw, some turn their back and live their lives in sin against God.
This is why when Christ died 2000 yrs ago
The world did not all come to Him.

Man has been turning their backs against
God during the same time Gods Death had
Extended Grace, “ if “ we lived for Him, so
Not all had, and some never will, though
Jesus draws us all, many will never follow
In spirit and in truth.

The unpardonable sin is not what most people think.

When you know in Gods Word that People
Are not ALL following in Gods Word, that would be impossible according to your statement.

Choice between obedience and disobedience

• Deuteronomy 30:19 – “I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live.

Your referring to God said He stands at the door and knocks
But most dont answer, they turn from Him.

He also wrote He died for Many not ALL,
In other words, He knew not all would open
The door to let God rule their lives, and
Since we can only have one Master and
Serve one Master, some forever chose
The Devil as their Master, this is why
Your statement is not true.

If God willed all follow Him, then He would not be giving warnings if we dont follow in Him
And do not have Him as our Master, then we
Used our Free Will to deny Him.

You do realize that Our Free Will is a
Gift from God to love Him or Hate Him
Right?

Its in the scriptures, when God said,
“Choose today who you will serve”, also,
We cannot serve two Masters, or we will
Love one and hate the Other, therefore,
God is Not taking away mans free will,
You are referring to the scripture,” i stand
At the door and knock”, thats what God
Did for every man, but when people choose
To obey and follow the devil instead, what
Did God say?
“ I will turn them over to themselves”

Technically no sin/sins are or were forgiven. Sin is of the devil.
The devil never was forgiven and never will be.

Sins are simply not counted against people, 2 Cor. 5:19 but that does not account for sins of devils which transpire where?

In people

If you sense a real fear of The Lord you sensed well

Yes, Gods forgiveness was offered :
John 8:44

“You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires.

It is the common thought that the father of lies,
The devil were their actions.

No, devils are not ppl, but Jesus noted
The devil ie Satan is the father of
Lies, and people can do demonic things
When the devil is their Master, likewise,
Those in Christ can not do evil, from the same source of their Will choosing Not to,
It depends on who is our Master, that is
Who we follow.

The Sin of Unbelief – Grace Evangelical Society
The Bible teaches 2 truths: Christ paid for the sins of the whole world & yet only those who believe receive the benefit of that payment.

Scripture shows that every person enters the world already marked by the fall - ""brought forth in iniquity"" (Ps 51:5), ""by nature children of wrath"" (Eph 2:3) & even ""called a transgressor from the womb"" (Isa 48:8). Paul explains why this is universal: ""Death passed upon all men, for all sinned"" (Rom 5:12).

Because sin's wage is death, every person needs rescue. Jesus made that rescue possible for ALL, but He also taught that UNBELIEF is what keeps a person from receiving it: ""He that believeth not is condemned already"" (Jn 3:18), & ""If you believe not, you will die in your sins"" (Jn 8:24).

Scripture consistently says the atonement is applied through faith - ""propitiation through faith in His blood"" (Rom 3:25), ""whoever believes, receives remission of sins"" (Acts 10:43) & ""after you believed the gospel"" (Eph 1:13).

In simple terms: Christ paid for all sin, but only faith unites a person to Him. The only sin that ultimately condemns is the unbelief/rejection/denial of the One that paid the ultimate price to rescue them.

Why then are the unbelievers at the great white throne judgment, not judged for this sin. They are sent to the lake of fire for only one reason their names not being in the book of life.

Question: Did Christ die for the sin of unbelief?
Answer: Of course. He died for all the sins of all mankind (1 John 2:2).
Question: Then why does God send people to hell for not believing?
Answer: He doesn’t. The Bible nowhere says that.
Question: Then what does He send them to hell for?
Answer: For not having their names in the Book of Life (Rev. 20:15).
Question: But isn’t that because they didn’t believe?
Answer: Yes. But it’s still not the reason they are condemned to hell.
Question: Isn’t that double-talk?
Answer: Not at all. A cause and a reason are not the same thing. Unbelief is the cause for the unsaved not having eternal life. Not having eternal life is the reason they are condemned to hell.

Of course The Death of Jesus paid for the
Sins of the whole world!

Only those who are obedient to His commandments, and yes we were born
Into the world as transgressors, and that
Is what baptism washes away, along with
The persons life in worshipping God in
Spirit and in Truth, absolutely.

Unbelief encompasses the believer as
Through obedience to Christ, its not
Applicable to only those who claim to
Be believers.

Belief has accountability in being validated
By Christ, so we know what the Words say,
But we are to “ work out our Salvation in
Fear and Trembling”, which tells us we must
Wait to be found As Washed by the blood
Of the Lamb by Christ as individuals, thats
Why we are told to work out our Salvation
In Fear ie Awe of what our sins do in making us tremble knowing the wages of sin is death,
Point being, we are told that to keep us humble, and waiting to know our fate through
Gods Eyes.

All of what you quote of Gods Promises are
True, but we must be seen by God as to
Having met His Criteria in each of our individual
Lives, never forget that.

Is not because their name wasnt in the book
Of life in and of itself, as that shows we
Must hold ourselves accountable and to
Obey all Christ says, which is what puts
Us as contenders for
Our name to be in the book of life, since
Even your reply indicates there are responsibilities each of us have for our
Name to even be in that book of life.

The only way to get into the book of life, is to believe in Jesus for Everlasting/Eternal Life.

Jesus took away all sin. There is no verse that states Jesus took away the sin of the world, except the sin of unbelief.

Plus the unforgivable sin found in Matthew 12 was a very specific sin. That could not be committed by individuals, but only by the nation of Israel.
and John 1:29 says behold the LAMB that takes away the SIN OF THE WORLD 11
