  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Repenter I would recommend if you are seeking guidance, go to God.
Start fasting, water only, and lay down and pray(talk) to God alone.
Humble yourself and know that God is righteous and just in all His doings.

James 4:7-10King James Version (KJV)
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.

10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

Are you still having trouble accessing the areas?
Yes. I am trying to access the Ask a Chaplain link. I managed to put a detailed post up there yesterday but I wonder if it actually got through as I have had no reponse to it. The link I used was http://www.christianforums.com/forums/ask-a-chaplain-792/. I would also like to know how to post in other threads as well as only the tools for reading the posts come up when I access them not the tools to actually submit a post.

Hi, I'm a newbie on here as well but long time Christian. I would say there are a few things I would say you need to do. First, read your bible more. Second, when you have these thoughts do what Jesus did when being tempted in the desert and respond with scripture.

I do not know where these thoughts come from, demonic/satanic or the flesh, but you should also pray in the name of Jesus that whatever is causing it goes and submits to God.

Hullo my name is Repenter and I am posting this further to my earlier post about the Unpardonable Sin. I am still having major difficulties in this area and have of late been plagued with strong urges to turn my life over to Satan which I do not want to do. Things came to a head tonight when I had a strong thought about the Holy ghost being Satanic. I know this is not true but once again I would be interested to know if anyone else has had a similar experience, how they dealt with it and if it can be overcome forgiven or is it the deal breaker for a Christian that I fear it is. I hate Satan and want nothing to do with him but when these feelings take hold of me it is almost like someone else is in control of me. Please help if you can, I don't know how much more I can take of this.

Many people hear blasphemous thoughts about the Holy Ghost.
(matthew 12:31-32 , mark 3:28-29, luke 12:8-10 )
Some hear " F the Holy Spirit ", " The Holy Spirit is satan" etc.
These can be overcomed by MASSIVE amounts of prayer, fasting, and getting hands laid on you by Holy Spirit people.
It's a type of Blasphemous OCD.
The only thoughts are yours are the one's you agree to.

This link should help.

There is truly no "unforgiveable sin" except that which you yourself do not think can be forgiven. Jesus can forgive all. One need not worry that he cant do it. That is doubt. The same line of thinking causes people to believe that they can lose their salvation, when it was already won for you. Scriptures state: Gods arm is not shortened that it cannot save, nor his ear too heavy that it cannot hear. An what else does Jesus tell us?? Believe and be saved!! Satan knows that God has chosen you as his own, so he tempts you with doubts, and attempts to lead you astray, more than most. Often times the people who go through the roughest patches are the ones God has something special planned for. Look at Jesus, Paul, David, Noah, all went through really trying times. Grace will keep you. Mercy will hold you. Faith will save you. The unforgiveable sin is not believing. The same God who made the universe decided it needed you. The same God who raised Jesus from the dead, decided he wanted you. That is worth believing.
