Perhaps this should be entitled, The Ultimate Fantasy, because if it has already been written, Quick and I would be glad to read it.

There would be a place and time depicted without the inclusion of the human mind, either as the character or even in the narrator, as closely as that would be possible in a narrator.

The exclusion of humans or other creatures would not be due to dislike of them. Merely as some kind of recognition that there could be possible such places and times.

Science fiction would only be needed for any technically scientific aspects to explain. But if there were no explanations, merely descriptions of the scenes, without personal views or comments made, just pure fantasy.

Many writers approach this while providing the place and mood and orientation for the reader. But all is only background, for the readers are all expected to become interested as the characters and events about them in the story are introduced into the prepared scenery.

Then the usual selecting of plots, stories of romances or mysteries are included to complete the work.

But does anyone ever pause in reading, before the people come onto the scene? Linger there in the picture formed in the mind's eye of just that imagined place, with it's own sights and mood and sensations?

The contemplation of just one place in time and space, then pause there while time passes there, bringing with it changes and moods of that place; developing a life and a presence all it's own.

In photographs of scenery, or of art, we are concentrating upon the elements of the place and everything in it. We can see the sunrise in a photo and imagine the sunset there.

We can see the green forest and imagine the same covered with newly fallen snow. Perhaps we can imagine the lazy white flakes, drifting down in a pace decided by the winds.
