Hello everyone, I feel so horrible when I say this.... When I was about 11 years old (I'm 17 now) I was building some complex lego thing, and I messed up and I had to start all over. This upset me to an extreme degree so I did something that I regret to this day. I took it out on God. I screamed at Him, I cussed at Him, I called Him horrible names...and then I pledged allegiance to Satan. Thinking about it is making my eyes water. As you can probably tell, I was pretty messed up. Since then, I have become a Christian, I have confessed my sins to God, tried to live by His teachings as best I could, and I have messed up along the way countless times, and I have tried to continue to improve myself, I have asked Jesus to come into my life and into my heart and guide me in all the ways of God. I am so afraid that I commited the Unforgivable Sin all those years ago. I think I may have commited blasphemy against the Holy Ghost. I am so sorry for what I did, but I'm not sure if it can be forgiven. Please help me understand. Thank you all and God bless.

The unforgiveable sin is not something that can be commited today. It was pertinent to those in the time of Jesus who saw the works He did, knew He was from God, and still called Him of satan and rejected Him. When Jesus condemned them He repeatedly spoke of the curse upon "this generation" (referring to His immediate hearers). The only thing you can do today which will not be forgiven is to refuse to place your faith and trust in Christ. You sound as though you have done that.

I will admit, I did some things when I was younger, that when I did eventually get saved I had a hard time forgiving myself for, I often had feelings similar to what you are expressing. The thing is, this is a trick of Satan, to keep bringing up these old things, to make you feel bad and to keep you struggling. Satan doesn't want you to have victory in your spiritual life.

God has removed your sins as far as the east is from the west, when He looks at you He doesn't see your failings, but He rather sees the righteousness of Christ which you are cloaked with. Now go and forgive yourself and move on. To do otherwise is prideful - it is refusing to forgive yourself for something God has allready forgiven you for.

We do a pretty good job of condeming ourselves. I know I have over alot of things I did in my past. However, as Romans 8:1 says, 'So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus!'

You did not commit the unforgiveable sin young friend- as Berean Todd has explained.
You have asked Christ for forgiveness for your past sins. They are forgiven-'If we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness' (1 John 1:9).

The unforgivable sin is denial of the existence of God, or denial of the identity of Jesus. Cursing God, worshipping Satan, etc., those things can be forgiven if you return to God.

Besides, children are innocent of sin until they mature, therefore, even if that were unforgivable, that would not "be on your record," so to speak.

When I was 16, I was into witchcraft, sorcery, demonic rituals, etc., and I was well beyond the age of innocence. But still, despite all of that, I returned to God, and I know that despite how much I despise my past, it is forgiven, and I am a new person.

You're a new man as well. Don't worry about it. Even if it disgusts you to think about something you did, so long as your heart is not in it anymore, and rather into God, it is all fine. Your soul is safe unless you stop believing. Disbelief, that is what cannot be forgiven.

Ya there is no unforgiveable since once you are saved. The unforgiveable sin in Matthew was when Jesus was talking to the Pharisees who were repeatedly denying His deity. Once we have asked Christ in for salvation.. we have accepted He is God and so we haven't repeatedly denied His deity.

Now if we do try and do that again.. repeatedly deny God after salvation.. that is like saying your blood father or mother is no longer your blood father or mother.. it is impossible! Once you are saved, you are born into His family and are a member of His family.. if you rebel.. you stay His child since you were brought with His blood.

(1Co 3:13) Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

(1Co 3:14) If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

(1Co 3:15) If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Joh 10:28 And I give to them eternal life, and they shall never ever perish, and not anyone shall pluck them out of My hand.
Joh 10:29 My Father who gave them to me is greater than all, and no one is able to pluck them out of My Father's hand.

Rom 8:37 But in all these things we more than conquer through Him who loved us.
Rom 8:38 For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Rom 8:39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Is this Biblical? What IS the age of accountability according to the Bible?

Hear Hear!

To blaspheme the Holy Spirit means to ignore His repeated attempts to call you to Christ. It is turning your back on His prompting to get you to repent. Doing so, sends one to hell because he dies in his sins without forgiveness. Thus, "The Unpardonable Sin".

for the last time.. Christians can't commit this sin.. becuase at some point they have accepted that Jesus is God and asked Him in their lives.

The unforgiveable sin is for folks who never recieve Christ! In Matthew Jesus is talking to the Pharisees.. not Christians.. when talking about the unforgiveable sin.

It is denying Jesus is God repeatedly.. which is something Christians have not done.. because at some point that have said He is God.

Jesus died for ALL sin.. full stop.. He didn't leave anything uncovered.. like our rebelliousness of unfaithfulness after salvation..

It also isn't going against our free will because we use our free will when we ask Him in!

When you are born in to the family of God.. it is like being in a real family.. even if you deny your mum and dad after birth that they are your parents.. you are still their child! It is the same with God.. His bond is even stronger than your parents since it is spiritual.

(1Co 3:11) For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
(1Co 3:12) Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

(Rom 8:38) For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
(Rom 8:39) Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

(Mat 12:24) But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
(Mat 12:25) And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
(Mat 12:26) And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?
(Mat 12:27) And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.
(Mat 12:28) But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
(Mat 12:29) Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man and then he will spoil his house.
(Mat 12:30) He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
(Mat 12:31) Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
(Mat 12:32) And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

This Matthew verse is to the Pharisees! Not to Christians

The unforgivable sin today isn't uncommittable.
There is no basis for that...
There was a king in the old Testament that killed every priest and prophet that he could get his hands on...burned ever copy of the bible that he could get his hands on...God removed him from the position of king...and when he repented of his action God forgave him and put him back on the throne.

why?

He still hadn't committed the unpardonable sin even at that point.
Self righteousness, pride and arrogance of believing that you are saved by your own efforts in relationship with God are of the worst form of evil due to the "law reminding" that you do with everyone. Just like the Angry Brother in the story of the Prodigal son...you keep yourself out and believe that you are doing right by doing so...that is the unpardonable sin.

K?
And as far as hollering at God...Elijah did that too...So did Jonah...but they, just like you have been drug back.

I believe that the key to knowing God or Christ is forgiveness. If you are truly sorry, and have asked for forgiveness, then you are forgiven. Sometimes a person must hit "rock bottom" to really get to know Christ. Once you have asked Christ for forgiveness, then you must never repeat it. Being a christian isn't always the easiest thing to do. We will all fall short of the glory of God. God knows this. That is why he sent his son Jesus, to die for us on the cross. Continue to pray in all that you do. Remember that God loves you. The one thing God wants, is for all of us to make it back to him. After all, he created us.
