I'm rather surprised...Halo 3 has been out for a day and there aren't any threads about it yet.

So has anybody played it yet? I haven't, but I'm still interested as to how it is.

Gamespot gave it a 9.5, saying the story is better, the gameplay is the same but good...and that there will probably be MORE Halo games (not counting Halo Wars). Oh boy.

Bungie has said that this ends the story arc for Master Chief.

It got a 5 out of 5 on [FLAYM]Reviews but only since it's a 5 scale (it'd probly be a 9.5 on a 10 scale)

It's a good game with plenty of options for multiplayer, and a few easter eggs to make it harder for anyone who says it's too easy on Legendary. Oh yeah, get the skulls, activate 'em and then try to play. (They also give multipliers to the meta-game for better scores)

It's pretty nice. If you're not sure, rent it. If you've got both Xbox games, the books, graphic novel and Halo Uprising, buy it.

There is a lot to this game.

They have this option called Forge.
This is the map editor.
In it you can change maps around, and you can do it while your friends are in the room and even while they are playing.
At the press of a button you can either play or go into edit mode.
In edit mode you can fly, so you can check out everything on the map.

Now when Halo Wars comes out, we'll see who's obsessed with what aspects of Halo. The story (the story of the Master Chief) obsessed probably won't. The universe (the games, books, backstory) oriented might. The game/title obsessed will get it but probly won't like it due to the change from FPS to RTS. Me, I'm the middle. Love the story, but not so much the RTS aspects. C&C is about all I can stand.

I've only played a bit of the campaign but have spent most of my free time since Tuesday playing multiplayer.

I didn't play Halo 2 so I have no idea if they improved the multiplayer or not, but I really enjoy it and expect to spend many nights over the winter playing it.

I don't think you'll be able to fully appreciate Halo 3's story without playing Halo 2. Sadly, it's one of those sequels that has an original movie and then the sequel is split up in two parts (Like Matrix, Pirates, Back to the Future, which is the only one to have actually worked well)

The multiplayer is very similar except with the addition of equipment which is a fun aspect. The maps are more detailed, but aside from those, it's the same.

Have fun with Halo 3 multiplayer.

Sorry, but Halo is better than Zelda. Hands down. I'm kinda done with that kiddie game anyway.... lol. Except, if I had a Wii, I'd play the one for that system. It's cool enough looking for me to give it one last go.

lol

OK, first off, Zelda and Halo are two completely different game types. It's apples to oranges - it doesn't work.

If we're talking FUN factor, then I'd choose any version of Zelda over any of the Halo games. They're just repetitive and boring.

And what's so bad about kid's games? As long as they have a good story, good gameplay, and are fun, what's the difference?

Though, to be honest, I don't see Zelda as a kiddie game. I'm not saying it's an adults only game or anything like that, but I don't think it was designed to cater specifically to kids.

Zelda's not a kids game... well, not all of 'em. Especially not Twilight Princess. Windwaker, Phantom Hourglass, Minish Cap, yeah, those are kiddy games, but that's only a couple. The originals are more for teens and those in their twenties than it is for anyone else, imo.

Between the two, though, I like 'em both. Because as said, they're completely different, so they can share the same honorific.

I meant merely the kiddie versions. The old Gameboy of Link to the Past was fun. But yah, I'm talking like Windwaker here. I'd play Zelda 64 and Twilight Princess any day, but I can't stand to watch one of my former video game favorites be degraded into kiddie form!!!!!
Plus, I like to blow stuff up with grenades now, lol. AND be able to snipe at NPC's. With modern weapons.

But Halo 3 graphics are awesome compared to Halo 2. Next Gen is definitely Next Gen with that game. I could see my reflection in his visor! (So to speak).

Halo 3 is pretty good.
The way you can mess with your armor is just awsome!
And I beat the game but didn't watch till the end of the credits... is there something good after em?
I give it:

8.5 - 10

PS: YOU HAVE TO PLAY THE FIRST AND SECOND GAMES BEFORE YOU PLAY THIS ONE! Thats SO cheating lol!
