  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

The clue is in the name Jaffa CAKE lol then again you would have to look at the diference between a Cake and Buscut. That is to say Cakes usually have spongy bases Buscuits dont therefore on that basis I must conclude;

Jaffa Cakes are indeed Cakes (and if they wernt we should sue them for false advetisement)

But you find Jaffa Cakes in the biscuit aisle of a supermarket.

Oooh errr missus

It's a buscuit

Look where they are in the supermarket

With the buscuits

Not with the cakes

That is merely a packaging issue. Legally it is still a cake! :)

Besides - who made the supermarkets supreme arbitrators of our foods? If they put it in the bleach aisle it would still be a cake!

I wonder if Cakes were taxed and biscuits were not if Jaffa Cakes would make a case as to why it is, despite the name, a biscuit.

We may never know...

Still, a harder case to make, given that the product has cake in the name, goes stale like a cake, and is baked like a cake.
