Jesus Christ is our salvation. Christ loves you and wants to save you.

MATTHEW 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

MARK 10:26 And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved? 27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

LUKE 9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

JOHN 4:10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

ACTS 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

ROMANS 10:8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For
with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Jesus Christ is our salvation.
Ok. I'll buy that, if by "our" you are referring to the elect.
Christ loves you and wants to save you.
I suppose you're directing this comment to the elect as well. Or are you a proponent of general atonement?

Come on, let us not turn this into a Calvinist debate.

So either it would be

Calvanist-God gives some faith and we then take up our cross.

Arminian- God gives us faith and the ability to resist it and some take up the cross

Did I get the two positions correct?

Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, not just "the elect."

Absolutely however it is for the world to accept that gift or reject it as they choose.

“There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son.

So the gift is readily available to all yet it is necessary that the gift is accepted.

If that is true then His death has no real meaning unless you give it to it. It would mean that there was no actual accomplished atonement and that He fails to do what He wants to do. It makes the love of God pointless because His love and desire is thwarted by the sinner who does not believe. It reduces God to a little more than a man. He wants what He can't have, works to an uncertain end and is left to the whim and will of men. I am afraid that isn't the God of the Bible.

I'm referring to all those that are not saved.

So God loves and wants to save all those who aren't saved? What happens to His love when He sends them to everlasting destruction? He must be the most disappointed and miserable being to exist if He wants to save those He ends up having to damn.
