  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

THE TRUTH . . . or is it something else?

I wonder if Jesus relied on a Teleprompter to speak to the people
and fell apart in His sermons if it went out on Him?

I'm pretty sure He didn't. But Obama is not like Jesus in so many ways.

alot of Christians view this 'messianic' mania as a preview of
what will happen when the antichrist comes onto the scene.
We can see here how people will be taken over.

I see a total blindness where they don't even see the
facts or truth.
It's a little creepy honestly - to be so enamored by a
POLITICIAN. :help:

Personally...I do consider BHO is a form of antichrist...perhaps not THE Antichrist that sets himself up in the Temple...but most definitely a form of a/c...just as there are others now and have been others in the past.

1Jn 2:18 Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.

I understand the reasons and circumstances in which John penned this...however...I also understand the current application as the antichristian "principle" is becoming more and more prevalent.

It's not like our local Senator Arlen Spector was a conservative republican anyway...

Specter says he's switching from GOP to Dems

Guess BO just charmed him so much..
More likely political calculation. He was going to have a conservative challenger who might've beaten him in the primary. And Pennsylvania is no longer Republican-friendly for his re-election in any case. Of course the Dems might've bribed him too, the legal way that is, with a prime committee chairmanship or something.

if he is re-elected I almost wish I could flee to New Zealand.(trying to be facetious...a little)
My husband and I were thinking of Australia about 8 years ago - the only thing that seriously kept us here are his elderly parents. Once they are gone, we may be outta here too.

(and to Lady Bug) just remember that NZ is very liberal too.

Maybe the only way to escape liberalism & socialism is to move
to Middle East countries or Mexico
:dead:
probably I said NZ merely for how far away it is from everything that is going on around here, but I probably wouldn't like the liberalism of the place if it is that liberal.

if it was a place that was a bit too liberal but wasn't intolerant totally of the freedom of expression, I might be able to handle it over a Middle Eastern country - but then again I wouldn't like either, but living among a majority Muslim population would not sit well with me because I would foresee a lot of discrimination against Christians, but that's just me.

You have a really good point here Iz...yes...for the most part we still have the freedom of expression...but sadly...this now depends on what one is expressing.

For instance...public display of this painting is totally acceptable...as all the other art work depicting BHO as messiah...but somehow....public displays of Nativity Scenes (the birth of the true Messiah) or the Ten Commandments or anything even remotely Christian such as Christmas trees...not so much.

I didn't know that Union Square in NYC was private property.... Well...it certainly is very public private property to multitudes from not only the US...but travelers from all over the world....NYC is quite the international hub.

It is startling.

lol ladyt28 - we'd love to have you here in AUS... however we too are quite liberal - and getting worse along with the rest of the world...

My DH just wants a piece of land for ourselves - too far away that the gov. can't be bothered with us...

GMTA....hubby and I are thinking the same thing here in TX....little patch of dirt somewhere out of the mainstream.

Good riddance. Rick Santorum talked about it, and he said he (Santorum) was always the guy the R Senators sent to try to woo Arlen along on difficult bills and such. He said that Spector's basic leanings were usually much more in tune with the Dems.

yep, he made a comment that Repubs. were going too far right -

my reply to him would be, no, you were just going further Left -
we no longer felt you even OF this party anymore.

He may as well have joined them years ago with his voting
record and all.
