  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

THE TRUTH . . . or is it something else?

On his 100th day in office, President Obama will be "crowned" in messianic imagery at New York City's Union Square.

Maybe he thinks its true.

You would think...even if he did view himself this way...that he might consider how offensive this would be to many people...not just in the US...but around the world.

...absolute insanity!

perhaps he does see himself in such a way....and thinks it's perfectly reasonable.

and public displays of Nativity Scenes are offensive???????????????????????????????????????????????????

I feel sick to my stomach

with the approval ratings he's getting,
we can only conclude 1 thing,

AMERICANS ARE NOT WHAT THEY USED TO BE when
America was great.
Kiss it goodbye kids.

I just heard Chuck Missler yesterday say that very same
thing & it just confirmed it to me.
Obama is here and welcomed becuz the people have
changed and don't believe in what the early Americans
once believed in.

Generations have passed where God was left out and these
are the results today.
Lord help us.:bow::bow::bow:

I agree with you 100%.

Obama may be the President but Almighty God is firmly in control. His will is being done. So be it according to His Supreme will.

The Rev. Moon Honored at Hill Reception
Lawmakers Say They Were Misled
By Charles Babington and Alan Cooperman
Washington Post Staff Writers
Wednesday, June 23, 2004; Page A01

More than a dozen lawmakers attended a congressional reception this year honoring the Rev. Sun Myung Moon in which Moon declared himself the Messiah and said his teachings have helped Hitler and Stalin be "reborn as new persons."

At the March 23 ceremony in the Dirksen Senate Office Building, Rep. Danny K. Davis (D-Ill.) wore white gloves and carried a pillow holding an ornate crown that was placed on Moon's head. The Korean-born businessman and religious leader then delivered a long speech saying he was "sent to Earth . . . to save the world's six billion people. . . . Emperors, kings and presidents . . . have declared to all Heaven and Earth that Reverend Sun Myung Moon is none other than humanity's Savior, Messiah, Returning Lord and True Parent."

Details of the ceremony -- first reported by Salon.com writer John Gorenfeld
-- have prompted several lawmakers to say they were misled or duped by organizers. Their complaints prompted a Moon-affiliated Web site to remove a video of the "Crown of Peace" ceremony two days ago, but other Web sites have preserved details and photos.

Oh ya.
Yes I do remember that - gosh it seems like decades ago.

Seriously, this country is unravelling at a very fast pace -
I heard Perry Stone on tv yesterday & he said he cannot
believe the amount of prophetical signs escalating at such a
rapid pace as never before.

It's so sad to watch nations fall away, but I know that it's time we
fit into God's prophetical calendar with apostacy and loss of power.
Scary, but yet it's exciting to know GOD'S ON HIS THRONE
at work. wow.

Thanks for reminding me of that.

I have been thinking about Malta... but it is really hard to gain citizenship there
(and to Lady Bug) just remember that NZ is very liberal too.

Maybe the only way to escape liberalism & socialism is to move
to Middle East countries or Mexico

well in Latin America there has always been a strong push for liberalism and most middle eastern countries are Muslim
only Israel and Lebanon could be called non-muslim and even then...

the population of Malta is 98% Christian (vast majority Catholic but some protestnats)
also, it is one of the few countries that totaly bans abortion

I read the article.
This is a dream, right? Nobody would take this that far. Someone pinch me. I'm a little frightened by this. Anyone else? Am I being paranoid?
It's just a painting, and thus just one artist's opinion. There is nothing apocalyptic in this.

And I doubt there's much that can be done about it since t
he painting will be unveiled on private property. In America artists still have freedom of expression... unlike in the Muslim world where blasphemy (real or perceived) may carry the death penalty.

There is one thing I'm going to do about it: NOT buy a print of the painting.

You have a really good point here Iz...yes...for the most part we still have the freedom of expression...but sadly...this now depends on what one is expressing.

For instance...public display of this painting is totally acceptable...as all the other art work depicting BHO as messiah...but somehow....public displays of Nativity Scenes (the birth of the true Messiah) or the Ten Commandments or anything even remotely Christian such as Christmas trees...not so much.

I didn't know that Union Square in NYC was private property.... Well...it certainly is very public private property to multitudes from not only the US...but travelers from all over the world....NYC is quite the international hub.
