Genesis 1:
3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.
John 1:
3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
9 That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.
John 8:12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, I am the light of the world.
He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.
John 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
Jesus is in the world, as long as there are those who are faithful to Him.
Matthew 5:14-16 You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill
cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lamp stand,
and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men,
that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
