The Trolley Problem: WWJD?

There is a runaway trolley barreling down the railway tracks. Ahead, on the tracks, there are five people tied up and unable to move. The trolley is headed straight for them. You are standing some distance off in the train yard, next to a lever. If you pull this lever, the trolley will switch to a different set of tracks. However, you notice that there is one person on the side track. You have two options:

1. Do nothing and allow the trolley to kill the five people on the main track.
2. Pull the lever, diverting the trolley onto the side track where it will kill one person.

I don't want to know what you personally would do. What Would Jesus Do?

I'm looking to get Christian opinions here so I'd appreciate it if non-Christians don't vote.

Jesus would answer the question with a question such as how can I derail the trolley?

He might even perform a miracle such as making the trolley float through the air over the people then continue on its merry way, so cannot answer poll - neither are correct.

Jesus would command the trolley to stop. Saving everybody, then rebuke you for having little faith.

I agree, He could stop the trolley.With Jesus you can't think in the natural but the spirit. He could also move the people off the track by speaking it into happening/existing.. But I can't speak for what He would do, that's by the will of the Father.

I once drove right through a V shaped snow plow.
I was racing my brother back to my parents home and I was in the lead feeling pretty cocky. It was still snowing pretty good and the drifts on the gravel road brought it down to a single lane. I was probably doing 50 as I crested the top of the hill where I came face to face with a county salt truck with a V shaped plow. I barely had time to scream "FATHER HELP"
The next thing I knew the truck was behind me .... My brother was totally freaked out as was I. He stated all he saw was like a large plume of snow and thought I was dead.

So maybe the Jesus would make the train go through or over the people as long as they were not politicians...

Oh, and yes....I did win the race.

I think Jesus would inquire as to 'why' the trolley is barrelling out of control in the first place ...
