Jet Black said:iirc induction works slightly differently in maths; you demonstrate something in the ith case, and then demonstrate that this also holds for the i+1th case. the i+1th case can then be substituted for the ith case, and hence you prove it for all cases. The main difference with maths is that you are making these statements within a clear logical framework, and so this allows you to use induction

I agree. That's why disrespectfully shoving God into a YEC-shaped box is such a poor evangelistic tool. Most people don't give up reasonably-held scientific positions without a darn good reason.
