I would imagine that many of us learned many things from the bible when we were kids in sunday school. I remember being taught the following to remember the ten commandments.
Anyone else have any 'tricks' they learned/use to remember quotes from the bible?
ONE:one god
thou shalt have no other gods before me
TWO: rhymes with zoo
zoos have statues of animals at the entrance
thou shalt have no graven images
THREE: rhymes with tree
a tree has leaves and the leaves have veins
thou shalt not take the lord's name in vain
FOUR: rhymes with fort
a fort has walls and the walls have holes to put your gun thru to shoot the enemy
thou shalt keep the sabbath day holy
FIVE: rhymes with alive
if you want to stay alive,
thou shalt honor thy father and mother
SIX: rhymes with sticks
you use sticks to beat someone and kill/murder them
thou shalt not kill
SEVEN: rhymes with heaven
if you want to get to heaven,
thou shalt not commit adultery
EIGHT: rhymes with gate
a gate has hinges and the hinges are made of steel
thou shalt not steal
NINE: rhymes with lying
thou shalt not bear false witness
TEN:
it's the only one left, so it must be:
