Greetings Archangel,
Archangel said:
I was wondering. Do you think that the elect [ie Christians/believers in Christ] shall be protected from the judgment of God during the Great Tribulation? I know the Christians at that time shall suffer persecution and beheading from the beast, but shall they face the torment and horror of the judgments, or shall God protect them from his wrath [not necessarily a reapture btw.]?
Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Ever since the cross, martyrs for Christ have been killed in every generation. In the last days though:
Revelation 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
Revelation 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
Daniel 7:21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;
This is a time of very Great Tribulation for the saints of God. But we know:
Romans 8:35-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or
sword? 36 As it is written, For thy sake
we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep
for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither
death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
So arm yourself with this attitude and if we are not spared the Great Tribulation and the war of the Beast against the Saints of God, we can rest in His assurance.
Blessings,
Dad Ernie
