Pump the brakes Enjay, you have no formal training in science, no experience in science, no demonstrated understanding of science, and a perfunctory knowledge of the bible, and you would have us believe that over two-hundred years of solid science should be ignored because you wrote a four page essay for your personal reasoning of having to square that circle? How is this anything less than delusion?
You pump the brakes. If you think present physics and laws are not assumed then say so! If you think you can prove it, do it! On both counts you will fail. That is certain.
As I said, you're better off going with "embedded age," it's slightly less crazy.

You think God snuck in and created dead old fossils say in the Cambrian layer?! ha.

Except for the fact that you're in the minority even among "Christians" on this topic. :( Who's we?
Peter and John and I, for example believe Jesus created man and all things. Others claim we came from an animal womb instead. You seem to feel the others are in some majority, and that anyone really cares.

I do not know your god. I do not know any god that sat around hiding when man was born of an animal one day, pretending it had something to do with it.

The Jesus I know created man, and the world.

No, but Alfred E. Neuman does.

Even if every Christian believes that, it does not make it any more true....insanity does not suddenly become sane just because there was a sudden outbreak of mass hysteria...
What if every single Christian alive today, and who was ever born, and who ever will be born, believes: "In the beginning, God..."?

Sudden outbreak of mass hysteria? or something worth looking into?

Truth is not dependent on the majority, its not a democratic process. If everyone believes in a lie, its still a lie,....if only one person believes in the truth, does not make it any less true.

I thought that would be implied, but yea, IMO its just a bigger group of people that was/is affected by mass hysteria...and of course I could be wrong,...I could be the insane one ;)

The man is truly unbelievable. There is not one aspect of the modern world, whether it be washing machines, cars, computers, aircraft, radio, television, MRI scanners, cameras, and so on and on, where the laws of physics were not employed in bringing them about.

What exactly do you mean by that?
You make a scathing remark about Christianity, and when I call you out on it by asking you if you would apply that across the board, you invert the fraction and say, 'Of course, it could be me.'

I'm going to ask you straight-up:

Does anyone* who believes, "In the beginning, God ..." do so because they are under the influence of mass hysteria?

* Specifically Jews, Muslims, and Christians.

And I thought I was clear with my reply, IMO yes, but at the same time I could be wrong....and whats wrong with that?

Wow ... just wow.

Some time ago, a well-known and much sought-after evangelist here in America smashed his thumb while working and went to the emergency room.

While there, the staff noticed he was "acting funny" (he has aseptic meningitis) and called the psych doctor, who examined him.

After asking him such questions as: Do you talk to God? do you believe the Earth is coming to an end soon? do you look forward to dying? is the Devil out to get you?

... he had him confined to the psychiatric ward for further testing.

It took his wife about a week to get a Christian psychiatrist to override the ER doctor's initial orders and free him.

That sort of bologna is reflected throughout C&E and P&LS and frankly, isn't funny.

It's an attitude toward Christianity specifically and religion in general that causes unwarranted consequences.

Ya ... take your bad attitude with you.

Better yet, give it to the LORD.

If a doctor strted asking me that sort of question, I would wonder:

a.) What the hell it had got to do with him what my religious beliefs were.

b.) What sort of doctor he was anyway. If it was Britain, I would say there was a prima facie case for reporting him to the General Medical Council.

If a doctor strted asking me that sort of question, I would wonder:
Would you rather he not ask you anything and just diagnose you as insane, or under the influence of mass hysteria (like some here would)?

Makes me wonder what they teach in Psychology 101 nowadays.

No, but Alfred E. Neuman does.
I doubt that. There is a difference between assuming Adam was created a man, and having some magic gremlin in the sky sneak around planting false evidence to fool us.

I assume the laws of physics as much as you do of course. The difference is that I can prove it. For the future and far past you can't! You took the leap of blind faith on that one.
