  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

We will begin with Psalm 1 and work our way forward, then after we finish the book, we can vote the next book. @Graceisgraceworksareworks @WS371, and whoever else wants to join.
1) Blessed is the man that doth not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of the scornful. 2) But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3) For he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of waters, that will bring forth her fruits in due season: whose leaf shall not fade: so whatsoever he shall do, shall prosper. 4) The wicked are not so, but as the chaff, which the wind driveth away. 5) Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. 6) For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous, and the way of the wicked shall perish.

I dont have anything important to add on this passage

In verse 1, it seems that the exemplified man that is considered "blessed" is one who leads his life in a way that is pleasing to God, avoiding a path that, in the process, would eventually lead him astray.

I find that walking seems to involve a choice and its continuance, that standing involves inflexibility and obstinacy, and that sitting involves association and participation. If we could read this the other way around, then if a man chooses to walk and continue in the advice of the godly, firmly establishing himself in the way of the obedient, and participates and associates with the respectful, then he is blessed, for his abhorrence is in the law of the flesh.
