So which is is it, חדד or חד?

חדד

Trying to sort out Strong's chaos begins to make my head spin.

I'm not sure why H2401, H2402, and H2403 (חטאה) were broken out as a distinct word from (חטא) ; as in Amos 9:8 we see the same (ה) suffix (Strong's H2400). There are other similar examples, in these two word groups, that raise questions.

This isn't the first time that I have seen examples, that raise similar questions, in this study.

In none of these verses, do we see any of these renderings of the root (Chet Nun) ending with an Aleph. In fact, they all end with a Taw.

Hold that thought!

I have been leaning toward this conclusion for quite some time now; but now I have arrived.

Every letter, of every word, in Strong's work needs to be tested, before it can be trusted!

Yeah, it does not appear that hannuka with the ayil-alef was originally only an Aramaic spelling as they claim. There are also a couple instances in the older Aramaic Henok texts that did not have the waw in his name, and that's likely because the nun originally carried the "U" vowel with it, (as in nun), when it did not have the circle around it, (the circle is the open mouth vowel, "AH", (yes, this is a proto-syllabic Hebrew text on the entrance to the Great Pyramid)).

Gotta go, so I will not be able to respond tonight.
Glad you are keeping this thread active, (it's very informative!). :)

I am thankful that you are participating in it. Your knowledge far surpasses mine.

119 Ministries also did a study on חן.

I have been corresponding with @The Liturgist. He has shown great interest in this thread. I am inviting him as an honored guest to participate, not from a Theological standpoint; but so that he can contribute from his wealth in knowledge of history and linguistics.

I see that he has already signed in as a guest.

He is not here to debate; but I am asking him to help me with this study. We are like minded in our opinion of Strong's work.

I would ask that he keeps his statements directed toward my posts, unless someone else here has questions for him. He is free to correct me in my understanding of the history of the language, linguistics, or variants in the manuscripts, if I am missing something. This isn't about teaching nor debate. This is about working together to seek out the truth.

He will also be starting a thread in Traditional Theology, inviting me as a guest, to provide a link to this thread; so that the members of that exclusive forum, and I, can discuss the work that is being done here.

When he does that; I will provide a link to that thread in this thread.

He asked that I start another thread in General Theology; but I want to keep our discussions reserved for these dedicated forums. I don't want to get distracted from my work with endless debates, with those who would let their dogma stand in the way of their objectivity.

@The Liturgist Welcome!

@The Liturgist Welcome!

Thank you very much! I have the greatest respect to the work you are doing, and to all members of the MJ forum, if I may, I should like to wish you Shalom!
