While traveling from Pretoria to Johannesburg after the prayer meeting, God tried to show me something. I use the word tried because of my little bird-brain. I still struggle to get the whole revelation but the little I could figure out was something like this. God have emotions like we do because we are created in the image of God. We only have a very small measure of emotions. God have the full measure. If we love someone its so limed, but when God loves us its in the full measure. If God is sad, angry or any emotion its to the full extend. This is why God sent His only Son to die for sinners. How awesome the thought that the Mighty God of the whole universe loves us/me with the full measure of love and all proof is in the cross of Jesus Christ. I write this story of love when I got home the same day.
The Story of love
One day God called His Son, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. He took them to the window of heaven and showed them the earth. Looking down on humankind all they saw was awful sin. Jesus turned His face away in anguish Knowing that the price for sin is death. He could not bear to look down to earth anymore and turned away Filled with pain and sorrow for the people.
God called them aside and whispered to them that He might have a masters plan. He looked His Son full in the eyes and asked Jesus how He would like to save the world. Jesus could not think of a way that He could do it.
So it came to God and He explained this to His Son Jesus: The only way to deal with sin is to wash it away with the blood of the Lamb.
Jesus replied, But the Lamb will be wounded for their transgressions, He will be bruised for their iniquities
God said, Surely the Lamb will bear the human griefs, and carry their sorrows. The punishment of their peace will be upon Him; and by His stripes, they will be healed.
Jesus replied, "Father where would you find such a Lamb for an offering? This Lamb has to be pure of heart without blemish and without spot?"
Gods eyes filled with tears when He looked at Jesus and told Him that there will be no other, but Jesus to be the Lamb. Jesus replied, "But the sins of the world are so many will I be able to carry it to the cross of Calvary?"
God assured Him, "Fear not; for I am with Thee: be not dismayed; for I am God: I will strengthen You."
Jesus cried, "O my Father, if it will be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt."
After this the Holy Spirit spoke for the first time and said to God, But the human people will fall back into sin again for the world is dark and they need a lamp at their feet to show them the right way."
God turned to the Holy Spirit and said, "Oh, I will send You as the Light and the Truth: You will lead them to Me; You will bring them unto My holy hill, and to My tabernacles. You will be their Comforter."
The Holy Spirit replied, "But where will I live? I need a holy temple to dwell in."
God answered Him, "In the hearts of the people who seek Me. Their bodies will be Your temple."
The Holy Spirit replied, "Oh no, they are as filthy as pig stiles. God, I am a Holy Spirit, You know I cannot stand sin."
God just smiled and said to Him, "I know, as soon as you live in the temple You will start cleaning the temple. This is the reason why I need to send You. You will see the potential in these people and Your purpose will be to renew their minds with my Word."
For a few moments, it was so quiet you could have heard the silence. Then Jesus ask His father Why go through all this trouble to save the sinners?
God replied, "My Son I loved the world so much that I will give You, My only Son, that whosoever believes in You should not perish, but have everlasting life."
The Holy Spirit stepped forward and asked God, "Why do You need me to teach them Your ways?"
God lifted up His eyes and looked far into space. It seemed as if God was longing for something. Then slowly He turned back and said: "Im seeking their worship, My eyes will go daily through the world seeking those who worship Me in spirit and in truth."
