The Star... real?

So I saw a video last night, and I was curious what you guys think about this. After seeing the guy's arguments I'd say that he's got a pretty strong position.

Looks convincing. But looks CAN be deceiving... not sure if I'm the right person to make any other comments.

One thing we need to decide is whether we believe in miracles and the power of God. Can God act outside the laws of science He created? Is science more credible than Scripture?

There is a belief held by some Christian theologians called antisupernaturalism. This is the denial of the miraculous.

I am not one to denigrate science, as my degree and early work was in biology and chemistry. But, I do have a healthy skepticism when it comes to science attempting to prove with scientific laws that a part of the Bible is untrue or a myth, as I do believe in miracles and the power of God to do as He pleases.

Scientific explanations can be just as miraculous as things contrary to the laws of science.

I agree, but am very slow to accept a scientific explanation of something contrary to Scripture, especially with how often science changes and reverses itself. This goes doubly so for astronomy. They just made a several dozen million mile error in the track of an asteroid hurtling toward our solar system. Initially, there was a high probability it would stirke the earth. Now, it is a negligible chance. And this is something that's pretty close to us, not something as distant as other stars...

Good grief. I have been talking with people on this site that have such a low view of Scripture that I went in expecting it to be a refutation. I read a bit of the site with that assumption, and then posted. I am quite the idiot on this one. I read more. This is very cool. I hope the science is solid.
