[Thunder Peel]

This is the song that made me a lifelong fan of Counting Crows. I remember buying This Desert Life back on vacation in the summer of 2000. This song immediately hit me and it's been my favorite of theirs ever since. I have the whole song memorized and Adam has a way with words, being both poetic and vulnerable. I've never grown tired of this one. It means a lot to me.

One thing I always loved about The Smiths was their ability to combine Morrissey's morbid and depressing lyrics with Johnny Marr's upbeat and catchy melodies. Truly one of the best groups of the 80's and one of my favorite musical influences. Here a few that I really love.
