Peace in Christ.

The Son of God comes to give us an understanding (by the opening up of the Scriptures to our hearing ears) so that we may know Him who is true….the true God…the true Judge.

Let us taste of the good word of God, and the powers of the age to come and not respond to what we hear Him saying with wrath and bitterness...with "thorns and briers"...with "gall and wormwood"...with "vinegar"...the sour wine of the wine of wrath. Let us be filled with the Spirit and not with the wine of wrath.

A church handwriting of ordinances/dogmas should not be our judges…..they are “other gods” (elohim) ….other judges….we should not be keeping and serving. We have only One Judge. The handwritings are not living "judges" like our Living Judge. They cannot do anything to us if we do not keep the handwritings of earthly-minded men.

We have only One Lawgiver who has written His commandments upon our hearts and minds. There is no other external source of laws and judgments we must keep and serve.

1Jn 5:20-21
(20) And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

We are to keep ourselves AWAY from “idols”….that is, IMAGES (Greek: eidōlon). The church scribes’ handwriting of ordinances is an “image” that is placed inside churches where it should not be found at all.

(21) Little children, keep yourselves from idols (IMAGES) Amen.

The Lord our God (our Judge) has delivered us from the bondage of “Egypt”….from the world’s governments that are built upon their “images”…their founding principles that are presented in their handwritings (their “constitutions”, etc).

We are dead with Christ from the “rudiments”…the founding principles…of the world. Why then go and subject yourselves to a church’s handwriting of ordinances that are copied/fashioned in the form of the world's founding documents?

These are “idols” found in the churches that are built upon man’s external documents and are being kept and served more than God’s internally-written (upon our hearts and minds) commandments to keep and serve. Let us enter into the kingdom/government of God and reject man’s government.

Col 2:20-22
(20) Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments (PRINCIPLES) of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,

We perish with the using up of them. They burn us up with the working of them. Only the keeping and serving of God’s internal commandments (His government) keeps us alive in this earth. Keep His commandments and live. If we keep the commandments and teachings of men, we perish.

(21) (Touch not; taste not; handle not;
(22) Which all are to perish with the using) after the commandments and doctrines of men?

We have His covenant within our hearts.

Deu 29:14-18 KJV
(14) Neither with you only do I make this covenant and this oath;

We are the people who are “not here with us this day” that need to pay attention to what our God says.

(15) But with him that standeth here with us this day before the LORD our God, and also with him that is not here with us this day:

We escape the world’s bondage (“Egypt”) through the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We see the abominations of the nations (as they are given over to a reprobate mind to be filled with all unrighteousness because of their images) and their idols (their images….their handwritings of self-government and self-judging). They do not serve God nor keep His commandments as they keep and serve their own….their “idols”.

(16) (For ye know how we have dwelt in the land of Egypt; and how we came through the nations which ye passed by;
(17) And ye have seen their abominations, and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which were among them)

We must not turn away from the LORD our God…..our JUDGE…and go and serve the “gods” of the nations around us whom we have been delivered from. We must not bring their “images” into the places of our worship.

Let us hear and not bring forth “gall and wormwood” towards what we hear Him saying because we had gone and served the handwritings of men....defending them in the face of hearing the Truth.

(18) Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood;

Whoever is born of God will not sin (sinning or speak evil: bearing gall and wormwood) towards what he hears but will keep himself from speaking evil. If we continue to willfully sin AFTER receiving the full knowledge of our Lord Jesus who comes to give us an understanding, there is no more sacrifice for that willful sin.

1Jn 5:18 KJV
(18) We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

The person who bears forth “thorns and briers” towards what he hears the Lord saying is rejected and is near unto “cursing” and whose end is to be burned.

It is a frightening thing to fall into the hands of the living God…the LIVING Judge. The Living Judge is powerful and active. A “handwriting of ordinances” is not a living judge nor can it do anything to us if we don’t keep them.

Heb 6:
(8) But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.
(9) But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.

They will reject what they hear Him saying (He comes to give us an understanding….opening up the Scriptures …. and will “crucify to themselves that Son of God afresh and put Him to open shame.”

Heb 6:4-6 KJV
(4) For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

(5) And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
(6) If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

This is what they did to Jesus on the cross. He “thirsted” for water but they gave Him “vinegar” instead. They openly shamed Him. Will people do the same thing today? Yes, they will respond to Him with sour wine in their bitterness towards what they will hear Him saying.

Joh 19:28-29 KJV
(28) After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.
(29) Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.

The “cursing” being talked about in Hebrew 6:8 is a result of one behaving badly (gall and wormwood, thorns and briers) towards what one hears and yet says in his own heart that he will have peace (“peace and safety”) for doing so. The “cursing” is all of the “curses of the covenant that are written in this book of the law” Deu 29:21 .
Some will “add drunkenness to thirst” as the offender will not give His disciple a cold drink of water so-to-speak in their response to what they hear but will instead react in drunkenness of the sour “wine of wrath”....and think that they will have "peace" in doing so. What follows is truly frightening.

Deu 29:19-29 KJV
(19) And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:
(20) The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven.
(21) And the LORD shall separate him unto evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this book of the law:
(22) So that the generation to come of your children that shall rise up after you, and the stranger that shall come from a far land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses which the LORD hath laid upon it;
(23) And that the whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any grass groweth therein, like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath:
(24) Even all nations shall say, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this land? what meaneth the heat of this great anger?
(25) Then men shall say, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them forth out of the land of Egypt:

They behave badly in their response to the hearing of His knowledge and will forsake the covenant of the LORD God (their Judge) and will continue to serve their church handwritings of ordinances they use as their “judges” (other gods). God did not give them these commandments of men to keep.

(26) For they went and served other gods, and worshipped them, gods whom they knew not, and whom he had not given unto them:
(27) And the anger of the LORD was kindled against this land, to bring upon it all the curses that are written in this book:
(28) And the LORD rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.
(29) The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.
