CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

But I must say hebrews 6 and 10, is about people making a real decision to ignore the new cov, and forget that atonement, not exactly the normal mess up kind of thing.

well, having travelled to africa, asia, and india in recent years and seen the struggles and poverty, I myself, tend to veer towards mercy and grace much more than having a hard line approach - people need to see and feel the love. if that makes me too open, I'll roll with it ! x

well, having travelled to africa, asia, and india in recent years and seen the struggles and poverty, I myself, tend to veer towards mercy and grace much more than having a hard line approach - people need to see and feel the love. if that makes me too open, I'll roll with it ! x
Agreed...suffering always needs grace, grace came by suffering, the cross.

I once went a Church where I was applauded for having the right haircut, dismissing alcohol, and rejecting a chance to play professional sport, just so as I could dedicate myself to the "Church".

God forgives our sins when do come to Him, confess, repent and ask for forgiveness.
Should we keep doing sins over and over when they are wrong, no. Is it always easy to stop doings sinful things, no. I do not believe we will ever be sinless. Only one was sinless and that was Christ and in that, that is how he died for us and covered us with his blood.
