I AM ACTUALLY TEARING AT MY EYES. I CAN NOT WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR! IF IT STARTS ON A SCHOOL DAY I DO NOT CARE I AM GOING TO WATCH IT THE DAY IT COMES OUT WHILE WEARING MY SIMPSONS UNDERWEAR AND T SHIRTS!!!!

I fear this movie will not do well. When a cartoon television series has a movie made of it, it's the popularize on the success. Spongebob, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, etc. However, the Simpsons has been popular for a long time...except recently. Any fan of the show should know that it has lost alot of momentum in its comedy. Pathetic jokes that are carried on too long and premises that try to follow the current trends; but simpsons was about mocking the trends, not embracing them. So a Simpsons movie this late in the run can only mean that they are trying to get 15 more minutes on their throne before they are taken down.

A Simpsons movie would have been good news and a great way to end the show in 1996, but today they can't do a competent or even coherent 20 minute episode. I shudder/weep at the thought of 90 plus minutes of todays Simpsons. Its too bad Groenig or whomever runs the show didn't have the artisitic integrity Bill Watterson had with Calvin and Hobbes and ended it while it was still good.

Althought the simpsons have had a bit pf a downfall they do still have thier moments
