This is. Without a doubt. One of the top metal albums ever released. EVER.

Many regard Metallica's "black" album as one of the best metal albums of all time...and this album EASILY meets it in every term of quality.

TONS of great guitar solos, vocals that are passionate, aggressive and varied in much the same style as Metallica. But make no mistake. They are no clone. They have a much more gritty, dirty southern influence. But the music, the vocals and the lyrics are all top notch.

When Metallica stopped making good actual METAL...there was a hole in the music industry. This album proves that The Showdown are the new masters of metal...releasing an album that easily fits in with the top classics.

SImply put. If you like metal. BUY IT. If you don't, take a listen.

Yeah, I thought their prior album was killer.

It did wear thin on me after a while, but it had a longer life in my playlist than most artists of the genre do.

the songs I'm currently listening to from "Temptation Come My Way" sound really good! ...I'm not sure about how metal I'd call them, but still they sound good, even if it's not as metal as I remember them being.

I disagree with Theory and TOTALLY agree with Steel to say it is a great CD...I love it....
but, with that said...I can only listen to most CD's about a couple of dozen times and I'm done listening to it...
Call me ADHD or whatever...
I think it rocks.

I thought their last album was great. but I felt this one blows it completely out of the water. Mainly because I LOVE classic style metal. (not classic as in 70's...but classic as in megadeth, metallica, etc...)

It's pure metal...massively well done guitar solos in almost every song...killer riffs, gritty but not growly, vocals.

I think it's the best metal album in a long time...especially in a time when hardcore metal and rock/metal hybrids are flooding the industry. It's GREAT to get back to the basics and seriously kick your face in with some pure metal.

Ok.
Saying they have a nickelback influence is like saying Nickelback INVENTED southern rock.

Best...metal album...in a loooooong time.
And when I say that...i'm saying good old fashion metal. Not nu-metal, not hardcore metal. Just plain old METAL. with guitar riffs, solo's, singing vocals that are not flowery and great lyrics.

Ok I looooved the Showdowns first album, Ive seen the guys live a number of times and they are great guys.

But I am struck sad by this new stuff, David has a killer screaming voice and barly uses it on this album. I mean yeah your right about there being more solos and juck, but it just lacks the power of there last album.

But everything aside, callng the best metal album is a little stretched.

And I hate metalica so thats not making it any better.
