I was talking with someone in my family about the sequence of how Sunday will be brought to the forefront and people will have to choose and receive the Mark or Seal, and the timeline of the last day events, when she picked up a book and gave what she said were the waymarks for the end times:
1st-The time of trouble, which is to increase until the end, as the prophecies of the eleventh of Daniel have almost reach their final fulfillment.
2nd-The occurrence of great famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes.
3rd-The appearance of false prophets, with false claims, false dreams and false visions and beings claiming miraculous power, deceiving the people and leading great numbers into desolate areas to control those who follow them.
4th-A shower of immense or great balls of fire, or terrible conflagration and and from these balls fiery arrows were flying in every direction.
5th-Just prior to the second coming of Christ in the clouds of heaven, a work such as that of John [the Baptist] is to be done.
6th-Judgments coming on the cities with terrible shocks coming upon the earth, every city is to be turned upside down every way. There will be confusion and everything that can be shaken is to be shaken, and the lordly palaces erected at great expense will certainly become heaps of ruin.
7th-The trades unions will be one of the agencies that will bring upon this earth a time of trouble such as has not been since the world began.
8th-Mans laws and decrees forcing sunday worship, so we shall be forced to seek a refuge in desolate and solitary places. A National Sunday Law in America that will restrict religious liberty, surrender Protestantism, and give countenance to popery. The end of religious liberty in the United States
9th-Universal Sunday Legislation, as all nations and tongues and peoples will be commanded to worship the first day of the week.
10th- Persecution Scatters God's People and the shaking of the church and its member begins as superficial believers and leaders will renounce the faith, and the church may appear as about to fall.
11th-The Latter Rain will come down like at the pouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost and thousands converted in a day.
12th- The Loud Cry comes for the people of God still in Babylon who will be called upon to separate from her, which will be a world-wide proclamation and many Adventists will brace themselves against it as they will see only something which in their blindness they think dangerous, something which will arouse their fears, and they will brace themselves to resist it.
13th-The Seal of God and the Mark of the Beast comes and those who, after the light regarding God's law comes to them, continue to disobey and exalt human laws above the law of God in the great crisis before us, will receive the mark of the beast..
14th-The Close of Probation as Sunday worship is enforced and the "image to the beast" is formed and represents apostate Protestantism which will be developed when the Protestant churches shall seek the aid of the civil power for the enforcement of their dogmas and the Sealing of the saints is finished. Probation will end suddenly, and unexpectedly. At this time Jesus ceases to plead for man, the cases of all are forever decided. . . .
15th-Probation has closed, as Christ's intercessions cease in heaven. But the righteous and the wicked will still be living upon the earth in their mortal state--men will be planting and building, eating and drinking, all unconscious that the final, irrevocable decision has been pronounced in the sanctuary above and Satan infers that Probation has closed
16th-The Seven Last Plagues and trumpet after trumpet is to be sounded; vial after vial poured out one after another upon the inhabitants of the earth as Angels who are now restraining the winds of strife let them loose. As God's Spirit is taken away, Satan's cruel work will be done upon land and sea and spreads desolation everywhere.
17th- The battle of Armageddon or the last great battle between the Creator of heaven and earth and those who stand with him, and the prince of darkness, with those who have chosen apostasy and rebellion.
18th-Jesus Descends in Power and Glory
Now how does the Bible lay out the final events and in what sequence.....
