Can I be standing beside you when the Lord blows the trumpet???!!!! I want to see the look on your face as I fade into the sky with the rest of the saints.Null-Geodesic said:You know why there are all these replies?
Because this end times prophecy stuff is pure nonsense. It's been foretold as 'just around the corner' for the last 19 centuries or so. It will be talked about with the same accuracy for the next 19 centuries. Most of this stuff is just the ravings of fools or misguided uneducated amateurs. There are much more important things in life to be concerned with such as are you out of ketchup or did you feed the cat today.
Well you can believe that modern day nonsense, I choose not to throw reason away. Though I wouldn't go this far many Christians consider this recent Rapture obsession as heresy.Big Mouth Nana said:Can I be standing beside you when the Lord blows the trumpet???!!!! Well, you can call it the rapture if you want to. I call it the second coming, or when Christ comes back. The word Rapture isn't in the bible. I don't believe in a pre-tribulation so called rapture.Null-Geodesic said:Well you can believe that modern day nonsense, I choose not to throw reason away. When I first head this old tune it was in a devoutly DF church. No one seemed to realized the conflicting expectations. I dont know about the 'roll' call but the rest is accurate.BlondeJesus said:When will it happen?
Man, did that song ever bring back memories of my time in the So. Baptist church where I was saved!!!!! Thanks HitchHitch said:When I first head this old tune it was in a devoutly DF church. When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound, and time shall be no more,
And the morning breaks, eternal, bright and fair;
When the saved of earth shall gather over on the other shore,
And the roll is called up yonder, I'll be there.
On that bright and cloudless morning when the dead in Christ shall rise,
And the glory of His resurrection share;
When His chosen ones shall gather to their home beyond the skies,
And the roll is called up yonder, I'll be there.
Let us labor for the Master from the dawn till setting sun,
Let us talk of all His wondrous love and care;
Then when all of life is over, and our work on earth is done,
And the roll is called up yonder, I'll be there.
WOW...YES, That is my favorite song by Judy Jacobs. My tastes have changed since I left the Baptist church, and went to the Pentecostal. That song gives me the chills everytime I hear it. I feel like I am being caught up when I hear it, LOL.nephilimiyr said:How bout this one Nana?
There he comes, standing on the clouds, shinning like the sun, at the trumpet sound. Lift your voice, it's the year of jubilee, and out of Zion's hill salvation comes!
Sorry I only remember the chorus but it is one of my favs.
Yes it's by Judy Jacobs, a most wonderful singer/evangelist. I have this song on one of her cds and I feel the same way about it! I've been thinking about useing it as a new signature.Big Mouth Nana said:WOW...YES, That is my favorite song by Judy Jacobs. I don't have the CD yet, but I'm going to get it soon, so I can listen to it while I'm on here, and get the tape also for my car. That would make a good signature nephilimiyr.nephilimiyr said:Yes it's by Judy Jacobs, a most wonderful singer/evangelist. I have this song on one of her cds and I feel the same way about it!
