It might not look like a global government because there is not one dictator, but our economies and politics are very interwoven today.
People who serve in related capacities truly believe in the good they are doing, and work to further the collaborative oneness that has benefited so many.
When it comes down to requiring harmony or unity in faith, it will probably be a sensible response to resolve conflict, and we might not even recognize when it happens.
As for unifying economies, we are in the middle of currency stabilization and reform, and countries are in fact working together. They realize that when one economy falls, they all fall. This is not the old board game paradigm of rejoicing over one losing so others can win.
I was listening to a sermon this morning that pointed out how short the mandatory unification would last, though. They pointed out how the angel threw the stone into the water and it was over in a flash. That is encouraging, and also makes sense.
- If we went to complete cashless society, the hackers and scammers will destroy lives before it even gets off the ground.
- If people accept chip implants, they will find it causes tumors in humans just as it does in pets.
- Unified religion would never be taken seriously in a world where so many devout believers of varying faiths will still pray to their god(s).
These represent worthwhile efforts, innovative solutions, efficient management of resources, harmonizing gestures... but are not workable solutions. It makes sense that they will not last for long.
UNITED NATIONS
"The UN provides a unique platform for international action. It offers unparalleled legitimacy for global engagement, owing to its universal membership; its inclusive decision-making processes; its unequalled reach; and its ability to provide critical services that are essential to international peace, security, stability and prosperity.
"Accountability takes many forms, from the Organization’s duty to carry out the decisions of Member States, to good governance by Member States, to the responsibility of all staff to adhere to the highest standards of conduct in support of the UN and its goals. "
Strengthening the UN
"Every year we
mobilize about $7 billion in humanitarian aid to help people affected by emergencies.
Every year we
assist over 34 million refugees and others fleeing war, famine and persecution.
In the last four years we have
funded urgent life-saving projects in over 50 countries."
Strengthening the UN
INTERNATIONAL MONETARY FUND
"The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is an organization of 188 countries, working to foster global monetary cooperation, secure financial stability, facilitate international trade, promote high employment and sustainable economic growth, and reduce poverty around the world.
"It is a specialized agency of the United Nations but has its own charter, governing structure, and finances. Its members are represented through a quota system broadly based on their relative size in the global economy. "
How we do it
"Through its economic surveillance, the IMF keeps track of the economic health of its member countries, alerting them to risks on the horizon and providing policy advice. It also lends to countries in difficulty, and provides technical assistance and training to help countries improve economic management. "
-About the IMF
WORLD BANK
"We offer support to developing countries through policy advice, research and analysis, and technical assistance. Our analytical work often underpins World Bank financing and helps inform developing countries’ own investments. In addition, we support capacity development in the countries we serve.
