2-The Little Flock's Pasture.
3-Flight to New Jerusalem: Waiting Area
4-The Watering Hole
and more, just check the poll.

We could sticky this and make it our general discussion thread. I've always thought just a general discussion thread would be good, and that's the way this thread is going. Can you change the name of threads, so that if you did sticky it, it could be named GENERAL DISCUSSION or something.

What about calling it something that gets across the idea of fellowship? That's the kind of thread this is. Then it would be clear that it is open to everyone but not for debating about theological issues or whatever.

Some of the other congregational forums have fellowship stickies; they usually have names that have something to do with food: "The Potluck" (Baptists), "Covered-dish Dinner" (Wesley's Parish), "Dining Hall" (Reformed), "Uncle Hiram's Deli" (Messianic Judaism), etc. If anyone has any creative names, feel free to suggest them.

That's a good idea for the name of the fellowship thread Sophia7. I'll have to think of a name.

Now this discussion comes from Tishri1's welcoming thread. I thought I'd make it a separate thread where we can think of the name for it: then when we have 10, I guess I can post a poll to see what people like.

I can't think on much, but the only idea that hit me is,

In her writings, Ellen White referred to the Adventists as the "Little Flock". I believe other early Adventists used that term a few times as well, though I'm not sure.

Well I don't like any of the suggestions yet. LOL. Sorry.

Of course I rarely come here so my input is pretty much worthless, too.

But you could just call it something typical like "Fellowship Hall" or "Sabbath Potluck" or "Online Camporee" or somesuch.

I dunno ... there's got to be some better names out there somewhere.

Question for you Sophia. Did you put a closing date on the poll, so we can have it decided by a certain time? If you didn't do that. How will we decide when to stop the poll and start the actual Fellowship Thread (Tishri's welcoming thread.)

No, I didn't put a closing date on it. I could add one, but I thought that since traffic is kind of slow here sometimes, it might take a while to get enough responses. Maybe we should just wait a week or so and see how it goes and if we get any more votes. I don't see a clear winner yet.

Regarding the name Sabbath Potluck. I think it wouldn't be suitable as we already have our Sabbath fellowship thread, and this thread is for all week fellowship.
