Why do you not blame both parties for their inaction?

If neither side is backing down then both are responsible for the gridlock that has brought the federal government to a standstill. I have no problem admitting the Democrats bear some of the responsibility for this shutdown.

Why can’t you guys be critical of your own party?

The CBO is a bi-partisan and highly important congressional analysis group. If it was not - if it was partisan - it would have been disbanded decades ago. Critique the particular assumptions of the report - and show where the CBO are wrong. Rejecting the entire institution is typical of MAGA - but if MAGA were a more adult culture - they would practice more intellectually credible arguments - and not throw out over 50 years of experience in analysis.

But one thing to keep in mind is the BBB is not in isolation. Trump also launched tariffs which will hurt the American economy, but raise Federal funds by taxing citizens on imports. (It does NOT tax the other countries as Trump claims! )

Yale double checked the CBO's figures and also calculated the impact of tariffs.

Add the 2 together - and the massive raise of funds to the rich comes down a bit - but is still significant considering the RICHEST get even richer as a percentage of THEIR enormous salaries.

But the poorest get even poorer! Those tariff taxes hit the poor EVEN HARDER than the BBB!

But this is just the Congressional Budget Office and Yale University - what do they know - right?

Yeah you were. Don't like something and you tried to implicate that Yale, for one example here, isn't "successful" as a way to insult and demean the institution.

And I would like very much you to explain how you expect to have "data" for 2026 and beyond. As far as I'm aware, we still live in a world where we perceive time linearly and I don't possess a crystal ball to gaze into the future for "data".

I have. You just disagree with the conclusions and so anything you don't like is fake news. What is this MAGA denial of reality? Is it that by following the father of lies (Trump) it means you can no longer distinguish the truth?

Or do you just get in the habit of calling anything you don't like lies? Genuine questions - because I have trouble understanding how America has fallen to the point where a vaccine denier is the head of the department of health, and a big lie conspiracy theorist like Patel is the head of the FBI.

And since the Trump administration has proven themselves untrustworthy in every single contact they've had with Democrats (and with the American people--look at his campaign promises) Schumer is correct to do his best for 26 million Americans on the ACA, and many thousands of hospital and medical employees who will lose their jobs if their services become unaffordable to 26 million Americans and demand drops drastically.

I am not denying reality at all. I have not called anything in your posts lies. What I have said is that your sources are predicting and estimating stuff and also that your sources are not reliable.
