I have now been blessed enough to be able to attend seminary full time and am now beginning my second semester. First, this would not be possible without the grace and guidance of God. One thing I have learned from my time so far is this. When we get so caught up in trying to figure out God and try to determine why Jesus did not say certain things or why the Bible was written by corrupt, sexist males we loose focus. I have been confronted with many different views and ideas at divinity school and when I struggle I pray. It is during this time that God has seen fit to comfort me and guide in the knowledge that He is God and my faith is not foolish. I could, and may at another time, go on and on and on, ad infinitum but let me just say this. The lesson that I have learned the most from divinity school is that we must not, MUST NOT, forget to praise and glorify the God that has showered us with grace, love and blessings. So, I praise God that He has protected my heart and my mind from destructive philosophies that do not help further His kingdom.
