We should only follow God's WORD and that is all that has been shared with you.
Its how 'you' interpret the word of God though!
God's Word clearly says the law will be set aside. That is the point. God's WORD does not teach that God's 4th Commandment is abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day. This is a teaching and tradition of men that has led many to break the commandments of God. *MATTHEW 15:3-9.
YouWho said you have to keep the law for salvation?
What I said was the only time Jesus met with His disciples mentioned is the first day of the week. IOW there's no reference of Jesus meeting with His disciples on the sabbath. The only day mentioned is the first day of the week, Sunday.Well that has no truth in it. Where does it say in God's WORD that the only time JESUS met with the disciples was on the first day of the week? Jesus met everyday with his disciples as they were mostly with him and the custom of JESUS was to keep the SABBATH.
And no more law. Lk 16:16; Rom 6, 7:6; Gal 4 and 5.The covenants have indeed changed. We are in the NEW COVENANT now and not the OLD so no more sin offerings and no more earthly Sanctuary and Levitical Priesthood. The purpose of God's LAW (10 commandmants) in the NEW COVENANT however has the same role it always had and that is to give us the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHTOUESNESS *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4; PSALMS 119:172. If we break anyone of God's 10 commandments we stand guilty before God of SIN *JAMES 2:10-11. God's 4th Commandment is one of the 10 Commandments that give us the KNOWLEDGE of SIN if broken *EXODUS 20:8-11. According to God's WORD, all those who CONTINUE in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN will not enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN *HEBREWS 10:26-27 because they reject the gift of God's dear son *ROMANS 6:23.
This is where you claim the law is required to attain and maintain salvation. Thanks for not making me look up several of your posts to prove the point. All who continue in KNOWN UNREPENTANT sin will not enter into God's KINGDOM *HEBREWS 10:26-27 because the wages of sin is death to all those who reject the gift of God's dear son to continue in known unrepentant sin *ROMANS 6:23.
Only if you dismiss Jer 31:32.There is no such term as beaing "UNDER THE SABBATH". The NEW TESTAMENT does not delete the OLD TESTAMENT scriptures it is a witness to them. In the days of JESUS and the APOSTLES their bible was the OLD TESTAMENT scriptures (law and the prophets).
Only if you refuse to believe Moses in Ex 31:13, 17.Nope. No the Sabbath was not made for the JEWS. JESUS says it was made for ALL MANKIND *MARK 2:27. There was NO JEWS and NO ISRAEL when the SABBATH was made for man. God's SABBATH was made on the SEVENTH DAY of the creation week. Man (Adam and Eve) were created on the SIXTH day of the creation week. There was NO SIN and mankind was in perfect harmony with GOD. JESUS says that the SABBATH was made for mankind *MARK 2:27. We Christians have celebrated God's SABBATH as a memorial of God's creation from the beginning to now unbroken to this very present day because of our faith and LOVE to God.
God bless.
Yes we should cut holes in our Bibles or disbelieve Its words. We should only follow God's WORD and that is all that has been shared with you.
If we know Who?Ideed that is the reason why there is so many different Christian religions and false teachers in the world today. We need God's Spirit to know his Word *JOHN 14:26; 16:13; 7:17; 8:31-36. Fortunately God's WORD tells us how we can know if someone is from God or not and describes who God's people are through the Word of God.
1 JOHN 2:3-4
[3], And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
[4], He that said, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
And Who do we stay in? (Hint - Jn 15)1 JOHN 3:3-10
[3], And every man that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure.
[4], Whoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
[5], And you know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
[6], Whoever stays in him sins not: whoever sins has not seen him, neither known him.
[7], Little children, let no man deceive you: he that does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
[8], He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
[9], Whoever is born of God does not commit sin; for his seed remains in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
[10], In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whoever does not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loves not his brother.
Do what, you say.REVELATION 12:17
[17], And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
dittoREVELATION 14:12
[12], Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Sure enough. Doing Who's commandments is the issue.REVELATION 22:14
[14], Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
God bless.
