Does it say in scripture that we cannot keep sunday as a Holy day?
That is the point. God's WORD does not teach that God's 4th Commandment is abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day. This is a teaching and tradition of men that has led many to break the commandments of God. *MATTHEW 15:3-9.
Who has abolished saturday? Christians havent as we celebrate the ressurrection of Our Lord on a sunday. Christians can still keep Holy the saturday. You are sda so have a different take on it.
Not really. Christians have kept God's SABBATH Holy according to God's 4th commandment from GENESIS to JESUS and the APOSTLES, the early Church all through time to this very present day. In fact PAUL kept the SABBATH with both JEWS and GENTILE believers. JESUS who is our example kept it as well as all his disciples. Sunday keeping and only a tradition of man that is not commanded in God's WORD. Who should we believe God or man *ROMANS 3:4?
Indeed. The issue was never over worship it is over sin and breaking God's Commandments. If by your faith and LOVE to God you are following him then there is no problem. Only those who KNOWINGLY CONTINUE breaking any of God's Commandments and continue a life of KNOWN UNREPENTANT sin do not enter God's KINGDOM.Great. Thanks for clearing that up then. Christians can still keep the sabbath holy and still celebrate Our Lords ressurrection on a sunday. It doesnt say in scripture that we cannot keep Holy Our Lords day, which is on a sunday.
No the issue is keeping the law for salvation.Indeed. The issue was never over worship it is over sin and breaking God's Commandments. If by your faith and LOVE to God you are following him then there is no problem. Only those who KNOWINGLY CONTINUE breaking any of God's Commandments and continue a life of KNOWN UNREPENTANT sin do not enter God's KINGDOM.
God bless.
We're not transgressing God's law because He changed the covenant. That is the point. God's WORD does not teach that God's 4th Commandment is abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day. This is a teaching and tradition of men that has led many to break the commandments of God. *MATTHEW 15:3-9.
It's very interesting to me the only times noted Jesus met with His disciples was the first day of the week. To me this elevates importance of days to the first day of the week also called the 8th day and inferred as the new beginning. Not really. Nothing wrong with a little fib is there?Indeed. The issue was never over worship it is over sin and breaking God's Commandments. Where in the NT does it state that the Church now is under the Sabbath?Already answered through the scriptures posted. You did not like the answer so your argument is with God not me.
Sabbath was given to Israel, not to the Church!God's 4th commandment is one of God's 10 commandments that give us the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4; PSALMS 119:172.
According to God's WORD, ALL those who CONTINUE in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN will not enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN *HEBREWS 10:26-27 because they reject the gift of God's dear son *ROMANS 6:23.
OBEDIENCE to God's LAW is not how we are saved it is the FRUIT of God's work in us as we BELIEVE and FOLLOW his WORD. If our faith has no fruit it is dead *JAMES 2:18-20; 26 and our tree will be cast down and thrown into the fire *MATTHEW 3:10; 7:19-20; 13:49-50.
God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)
Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has led many to UNKNOWINGLY break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)
There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day. Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?
In times of ignorance God winks at but now, <when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31). Only sent in LOVE as a help. We all answer to God come judgment day *JOHN 12:47-48.
Hope this helps.

Where in the NT does it state that the Church now is under the Sabbath?
Sabbath, was given to the Jews. They have ALWAYS celebrated the sabbath.
Jesus came, conquered and rose from the dead! This is what we Christians celebrate. This, the victory of Our Lord Jesus Christ!
The Jews dont believe in Jesus Christ for goodness sake! Well, most of them.
We should only follow God's WORD and that is all that has been shared with you.SDA beliefs differ from most.
