Hi guys, I am new around here. I have been on a few different boards and currently do my very best to defend the faith at the all so famous Rapture Ready. I have been a "true" Catholic for about 4-5 years now, and one of the only things that I am still kinda fuzzy about is the rosary.
The other night I was talking to a friend and we were talking about St. Bernedatte (spelling?) and how Mary appeared to her and she started praying her rosary. Well, that is implying that the rosary was already around. I have also read a little about where the 150 Hail Mary's came from in the full rosary... It was back in the day and the Benedictine monks prayed the 150 Pslams over the course of a week (which they still do) and the monks who worked in the fields a lot wanted to participate, but couldn't memorize all the Psalms. Instead, they prayed 150 Our Father's. Eventually it became 150 Hail Marys... My question is, when was the rosary as we know it today actually started... does anyone know?
Thanks for y'alls help!
