Why would a perfect creation separate itself from god? A perfect creation would know that would be a bad thing and would not do it.

Because of free will...

Why would a person reject and turn away from a supportive, loving family to satisfy some sinful vice they have... wouldn't they know the love and support they are rejecting could help them and would be the better choice? Of course they do but their desire to sin is a deeper driving motivation.

Sin overrides reason... have you never done anything that you knew was the wrong but did it anyway?

Because of free will...
Ah, that old chestnut. The choices we make are constrained by at least two things;

  1. our knowledge of the alternatives
  2. our nature
Neither of these things is determined by our desires. Firstly, our knowledge is determined by our experience and the hard wiring in our brains that we inherit from our parents. Secondly, iIf you believe in an omnipotent creator god, then you will concede that he is responsible for our natures, not us.

If we, as god's creation, had been made perfectly then our natures would be such that we would not be pre-disposed to sin. There are at least two people in Christian mythology who were created this way; Jesus and his mother, Mary. If these people had free will then it is clear that it is possible for god to create beings with free will who will not sin.

Why would a person reject and turn away from a supportive, loving family to satisfy some sinful vice they have...
Their created natures and their knowledge base

Yes. Because of my god given nature.
