I saw it.

For me, I didn't think it was as good as the first (sequels rarely are), but it was decent. Some things just didn't make sense in the story line. But it was nice to see the story wrapped up.

LOL, when my sister and I watched The Ring on DVD (the first time either of us saw it) right after it was done, just as my sister was opening the DVD player....THE PHONE RANG! My sister and I screamed so loud and ran, shouting insanely, upstairs.

We got upstairs and found out our mom had answered the phone. We both looked at her and yelled "NO!" and she looked at us all wierd, lol, it was great. Our hearts were thumping so fast!

Turns out, the phone call was from our church, talking to my mom, who is the Minister to Children!

Terrible movie. Too many plot devices and they got rid of the one thing that made the first one interesting, and that was the fact that if you watched the tape you would die in 7 days. So there was that intensity and time limit to think about. Also, the kid got on my nerves calling his mother "Rachel" the whole movie. >.< Pet peeve of mine.

the story of this version is different from the japanese version from what I gather. Where as the the first Ring film was mostly based on the japanese one with some exceptions.

Oh I loved it!! I just got back from seeing it, it was so much better than the first one! I'd so go see it again but than I probably wouldn't be able to stop and that's too much money, so I will just buy it when it finally comes to DVD!

No don't! It's not too late to back out! The film is stupid and not scary! Well...scary in the sense that it's horribly stupid, but that's not the scary you want!
