The Riddle thread

Somebody make a riddle. Other people in the thread have to figure it out. The person who guesses correctly gets to make his/her own riddle for people to solve.

Some lines clue you in better than others. What makes a person's thought askew?

LOL, here's another clue. What kinds of things would make a person's perspective sluggish? Just make a big list.

The answer is alcohol, which falls under drugs. It kills brain cells with heavy abuse, and the brain and nervous system in many ways are like a branching tree. People who are "under" the addiction tend to be pretty myopic, ruining relationships in order to fulfill the addiction (the less you see). They convince themselves that they need the drug/booze when they really don't.

Not much of a poet, though I'm capable of making poems. If you want, you can Google search for riddles if you aren't comfortable making your own.

I was lulled into my last sleep.
In the grip of a four-armed man.
(He made not a peep)
He was made from a man with twenty.
My head aches from stabbing fingers.
But I did not weep or cry.
And, in time, I emerged from beneath the solid rock sky.

What am I?

The four armed man is the cross. The twenty armed man is the tree the cross was made from.

It's actually not too difficult. The idea for a really hard one is just to be as convoluted as possible. It's a cinch.
