My income is below the national average and I consider myself poor by British standards. However, I saved up my money and I took a six weeks vacation to the African nation of Tanzania. What I witnessed was another level of poverty. Indeed I was treated as though rich and my £'s had a lot of mileage in them.

Are the Americans, British and those of advanced industrialized nations like the rich man in the Bible?
